Crucial's website has a useful tool where you can enter your model number and it'll show you everything they have that's compatible with your system. I recommend using it if you are not sure of the type you need. I used their tool. It said this was the ram for my system so I came back here and purchased it. I opened my laptop, installed the additional ram, turned it back on, and that was all I needed to do. Everything just worked and the performance increase is quite noticeable - for a relatively cheap upgrade. My laptop is the Asus FX505DY FWIW.

I wanted to increase my onboard RAM on my laptop and had an issue with a Crucial SSD, so this wasn't my first choice, however the install was simple and after a few months has proved to be perfect for the job. As expected it has improved the performance of my laptop, which is what I was hoping for. I would definitely opt for Crucial again.

These 2 crucial ddr4 ram successfully work together with my previous 2 Samsung 2400Mhz DDR4 RAM in my DELL precision 7520 workstation to form 32GB of RAM. But I had to experiment with which slots they go into to get them working together because when I simply add these Crucial RAM to the empty C,D slots, the laptop indicated that 'invalid memory installed' (battery indicator LED flashing 2 amber followed by 5 white light). In the end, I installed the RAM in a way that A and D slots are a pair while B and C are a pair, then the system successfully booted up which was magical. I did know that the slots have some certain pairing pattern though. The system reports 32GB ram in total without any problem. The Crucial Ram has a response time of CL17.

Upgrading my laptop with these 2x4GB RAM sticks was quick and easy (i ordered 2). The performance boost is substantial, with faster load times and better multitasking. They are highly compatible and offer great value for money. Arrived quickly, was easy to install and works as soon as I turned the laptop on. If I could suggest something, I do like it if the package was more protective.

I have a 8gb laptop and I brought this ram stick to be able to play more intensive triple AAA games that would need more the 8gb. And this ram is was more then enough. The 2666mhz was defiantly fast enough to keep up with most demanding games. Also it took me like 15 minutes to install the RAM is and most of it is screwing and unscrewing the laptop. So overall I would suggest this RAM stock to anyone and everyone who wants extra RAM for any specific reason. At a reasonable price

Really good product. It’s the exact same type with Alienware m15, but quite cheaper than the one in Dell website. The only thing is you need to install it by ur self. Takes me one hour to figure out how to install it, but it really works well. Now I can play video games smoothly, and save a lot of money as well.

I recently purchased a laptop with the intention of upgrading its Ram to 16gb from 8gb. I had a look around to find an affordable DDR4 SODIM and struggled before checking Amazon Warehouse Deals. This was a returned item with some VERY minor imperfections. Managed to knock a chunk off the price for a small scratch on the label...Something I’ll likely never see again! Very easy to install in my laptop. Booted up and all showing correctly in CPUZ. Ran some tests to ensure no faults or errors and happy to say it was like new! Very happy with this purchase. Well worth checking out Amazon Warehouse Deals to save yourself a little extra if thinking about buying new!

dovevo aggiornare il notebook dei ragazzi e ho preso questa ram passando da 4 a 16 gb a 3200 MT/s montata direttamente da mio figlio e subito operativo, vale la pena per svecchiare un portatile con un processore non proprio veloce come un i5. Crucial 2x8GB DDR4-2666. Instaladas en un portátil HP Laptop 15-db1xxx. Funcionan perfectamente pero, aunque el CPUIDZ dice que efectivamente pueden llegar a 2666Mhz (1333Mhz x 2), Windows informa de que están trabajando a 2400MHz. CPUIDZ muestra varias combinaciones de timings posibles que la tarjeta de memoria informa que soporta, y que normalmente se pueden seleccionar desde la BIOS del PC, pero la BIOS del portátil HP está muy capada y no se puede configurar nada de eso. Las originales que tenía el portátil indicaban lo mismo en Windows y al sacarlas indicaban que también eran de 2666MHz, mismo fabricante de los chips, Micron.
