You don't see many tech reviews on products months (or years) after it's been in use. Figured I'd add my two cents.I got this computer back in November of 2018 when my previous one died on me, and it's been working well for me since (with one small caveat). The built in storage (1 TB hard drive, 128 GB solid state) has given me zero problems, and the native RAM (4 GB) is modest, but works well - the additional slot has a 2 GB RAM card; if you want to play higher-end games on here, I'd recommend getting 8+ GB, and maybe upgrading the video card if you want to spring for the money. The fan runs very quiet to the point that you'd think it wasn't even on (it is, don't worry). I do have occasional sound issues, akin to static, but it's easy to fix, just a minor nuisance. The laptop is relatively thin, and also lightweight, which makes carrying it around a breeze. The computer runs Windows 10, Office, Chrome (10+ tabs), Youtube, and Gmail no sweat (even at the same time).Last thing - I paid ~$550 for the computer back in 2018. I've no idea why it's nearly doubled in price in 18 months, but for what it's worth, this computer isn't worth $1000.

The laptop works very good I have no complaints I set it up for my wife and it works as intended the only thing was my mistake I thought it was touchscreen but that's my mistake apparently I didn't read something correct other than that it's very nice laptop

Was a perfectly adequate school machine, until the SDD died and has been a nightmare to try to get replaced.Honestly, I'd avoid this model, Acer normally does fine for me but this has left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.

The product I received didn't have a back lit keyboard or HD visuals. I opted for the Aspire E-576G-5762. It was worth the little bit of extra money and I love it.

I've had this for about 4 days now. I love how fast it starts up and shuts down. The SSD part of the drive works really well. It runs games better than I expected it to, given its intel graphics chip. I don't really miss having a CD/DVD drive. It is very light and I like the matte finish. My old Acer Aspire was glossy and it always showed dirt and smudges. I bought this because I have an Acer Aspire that is nearly 15 years old and it was still going, but vista is no longer supported. Acer makes good laptops. This thing is pleasantly thin, but runs everything really well.

Yeah, I bought an Acer and have sworn to never again. Came with so much bloatware that I had to spend several hours removing before I could do anything, and then furtively it would reappear and slow down the machine immensely. Thank you MS and Acer! If you bought a tool that was integral to how you live -- say a thermostat for your home -- and it came up with a bunch of ads and obstacles whenever you just wanted to set the temperature -- what would you think? Would you be annoyed?

There was no touch screen to rate and no gaming used. It has worked perfectly and have no complaints
