Why are we The Busy Heart? The Busy Heart is a poem written by one of our great World War One poets, Rupert Brooke. Not only was he a great poet, he was also a travel diarist, spending many days writing about his journeys through the US and Canada. Brooke died en-route to Gallipoli.
