Winner of a 2019 Illumination Book Award for Theology Take a journey through The Book of Common Prayer , the Christian life, and basic beliefs of our faith, guided by two Episcopal priests--Scott Gunn and Melody Wilson Shobe. Walk through the liturgical year, the sacraments of the church, habits of daily prayer, and the teachings of Anglican Christianity. See how our prayer shapes our belief and our lives and how our beliefs lead us into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Review: Practical not preachy - Walk in Love sets the right tone for your faith journey. If you are new to the Episcopal faith or brushing up on the fundamentals, this book is the perfect guide to "Basic Beliefs", "Sacraments" and more. I loved the straightforward style and easy-to-understand faith principles. Take your time with this one. There is much to contemplate. My favorite parts of the book were the reflection questions and actions at the end of each chapter, which will deepen your understanding or provide a path forward for those looking to explore the topic further. Review: Fantastic introduction to episcopal church - Iโm new to the episcopal church and this is an excellent book. It was recommended by the priest and I see why. Really helpful for learning.

Concise explainer of Episcopalianism
Terrific, thorough, concise, contemporary book to explain intentional Episcopalianism in 2025. Read this for a church group study; elicited great conversations. Chapters are brief enough to digest a few in one sitting. Authorsโ words established clear โstandardsโ for what could/should be norms among parishioners interacting in-church & with unknowing โwannabes.โ

A great intro to the Episcopal Church and helped me grow my faith
I am new to the Episcopalian faith and found this book to be informative and easy to understand. I read this after finishing reading "The Anglican Way" by Thomas McKenzie and I like this book more.

Excellent resource for those just getting started
As a baby episcopalian that is preparing for confirmation, this was such a great introduction into the church and it's traditions. So glad I found this resource as someone that was not raised episcopalian. This was not only informative, it was energizing and made me excited to be part of the tradition.

What are those Episcopalians up to? Come and See
This is an excellent presentation of episcopal beliefs and practices as one might expereince them. That experience often begins by walking into a prayer service where the congregation is using The Book of Common Prayer for a baptism or a Sunday morning service or a wedding. One walks deeper into the Anglican tradition's beliefs, church structure, its spirituality and practices. The writing is very clear and moving. Each chapter begins with a prayer from the BCP drawing one prayerfully into the topic. There are good discussion and reflection questions after each chapter. It concludes with good resources to deepen one's learning. The title Walk in Love comes from what one often hears at a Sunday eucharist. The authors walk the reader through their book in a very enlightening and inviting way
