Lanzar LQ16CAP Contaq 1.6 Farad 12 Volt Power Capacitor

im 17 and i like obnoxious bass and music to drive around with because i find it fun. before i had installed this thing, i had one 15 inch boston acoustics sub wired to an amp in my trunk. my dome light in my cab and, if im using them, my high beams, would dim with each hit of the subwoofer. i figured i should probably handle this before any damage that i dont want to deal with comes about. i then ordered this cap. i slapped it in and sure enough, no more dimming of my cab light, or my high beams. this is not the only perk however... now im not sure if this was just because of my brain trying to justify a purchase or not, but almost instantly, i noticed an extremely satisfying power increase, to whereas i needed to adjust my settings of my subwoofer to turn down the bass settings and alter the equalizer. if i sound like someone who knows nothing about what theyre talking about please show mercy, im new to car audio. lmao. overall this things sick and definitley a great investment.

Seems to work well enough. I would recommend making up something to cover the 2 bare posts on top as every time I reach behind my seat in my Jeep I get a nasty shock. It is kind of cool to literally be part of the music and feel the bass in your heart from said shock. But I got sick having to get my girlfriend to use the jumper cables to restart it again.

Got this for my 1000watt kenwood amp. installation was easy and it works great. i like how when my subs hit hard the blue led's flash. but after a few months of use one of the terminals broke off, causing failure of the product. i tried fixing it myself but failed many times. came up with a solution of using bolts as terminals but the only way to do this to remove the computer chip LED board. the terminals are cheap and break easily, the capacitor still hits as hard now although there are no lights on it anymore. overall its worth the risk, still a good working cap. just buy this at your own risk.

I bought this because my lights were dimming all around and my sound would cut off at times because of lack of continuous power. It bolted down nicely and looks great with the blue LED numbering and strobe lights. The only downside is that it did not come with the right piece that bolts down under the bolts for the power connection, so I had to jerry-rig it to work. I fully unscrewed them and wrapped the wires around the screw followed by alot of electrical tape to keep everything in place... Need to pick up the right pieces soon.

if u have a nice amp and need a little bit more kick, this is the add u need. hook it up to ya amp n more power for sub and amp. it also helps your car from dimming every time your bass hits hard. i added it to my amp and my amp recieved more power and my head light no lorger dimmed. it also has a digital meter and tells u how many volts your amp is pushing, which is a nice setup

This capacitor is clearly labeled as 1.6 farads, but this is absolutely incorrect. Immediately after receiving the unit in the mail I made several time-constant measurements to determine the capacitance. The measurements consistently indicate that this unit has only a tenth of the capacitance advertised. It is more like 0.16 farads! I emailed both the support and sales addresses for Lanzar about this, and I received no reply. (It has been more than a week since I emailed them. If I ever receive a response I will write a follow-up to this review.) Also, in case anybody else is interested in removing the LED circuitry from the capacitor, it is easy to do. Everything is mounted on one PC board, which lifts right off when the terminals are unscrewed.

I wasnt sure on which capacitor to buy and compared all of them and this one is PERFECT. it has a GREAT price tag for an amazing product. it holds very well. it came with the charging bulb kit and was very easy to use. it looks sweet. has all the brackets to place it somewhere. and its digital LED voltage display looks great ! all around sweet product

The Capacitor is not quite powerful enough. Unless I got a dud.A first I had a 1000 watt interfire and two Audiobuan 12s and then tried Street Edge 12's made buy memphis . Seem the first night it worked no deaming of the lights. But every night after, they where back to deaming to the beat of the music. Well it was my first time trying a cap. I suppose I need a larger cap. I did learn of a capcell. May be I just need one of those.

Nice product! But I'ld have liked to have a system remote control on the power capacitor, cause i need to unplug my fuse if i dont want my battery goes down.
