Why is it saying that it will email when available but shows it is in stock

Is this switch suitable for use in car for a 12v accessory? i.e. to connect a lead with red wire for power and black for negative.

Hi, I’m not an electrician so you may need to check, given that this switch operates as a simple circuit breaker; if you were to install it online into a 12v system, it should work, I would have thought that there are bespoke switches from Halfords etc that would look better? Sorry if this isn’t helpful.

Would this be suitable for some fairy lights with a thin 2-wire lead?

Yes, I used it for fairy lights. Works a treat. Saves unplugging all the time to turn off at night.

Could I wire this into a laptop charger cable?

I am not an electrician but I think that depending on which end of the charger; ie the 240/110v side or the thinner cable on the other end would make a difference. I would not wire this at the thicker 240/110v side as this item is rated for lighting (lamp) therefore a lower current. Just pulling the charging lead out of the laptop end would suffice? Sorry I can’t be more helpful
