I am always worried about sounding like an old curmudgeon, but then I am. My Nesco 5 quart electric pressure cooker started leaking steam out of the side. I thought I would have to replace it, like I have had to replace nearly every appliance that has been in use in my kitchen for more than three years. I ordered the replacement gasket with no expectations; any attempt to repair a typical appliance usually results in disaster, but the gasket fit. The pressure cooker no longer leaks steam. It did not explode, either. I am just amazed to actually find a replacement part for an appliance that actually works.

The specs said 9.5" but the seal I received was 9.25". I could only install it about halfway on the lid. Also, the flangs stick out too far. They are about 45 degrees on the top and bottom. But when I tried to install the seal in the lid it causes the bottom flang to stick up at about 90 degrees. Even though it was too small I still tried to use it but I just couldn't get the lid on because the flang on the seal was sticking up so far. I really liked the idea of a seal made from silicon. Hope I can find another one that does fit. On a good note the return process couldn't have been any easier.

The gasket appears to be of good quality however as some other reviewers have mentioned this gasket fit their Innova model 42001 pressure cooker. This gasket does not fit an Innova model 42001 pressure cooker. If you are looking for a gasket for an Innova model 42001 6 qt pressure cooker this gasket will not fit, it is to small and the sides are to narrow. FYI, if you are wondering where this gasket is made the package label says made in China.

Soo grateful! My Innova Model 42001 6 qt pressure cooker needed a new sealing gasket. I’ve had it and used it regularly since at least 1990 and never bought a replacement gasket. Now I couldn’t find one to fit at any of the stores I went to !!! Hated thought of having to toss a still shiny, very well made , expensive cooker. 🙁. I bought a couple of sizes at hardware stores but they didn’t fit. Measured carefully twice to get correct size then looked online to no avail. Looked through vendors on Amazon and Only this vendor made the size I needed. So I ordered 2. Just in case. Tried new one with just water in pot. Sealed fine. Cooked a chuck roast last night and it worked Great! I love my pressure cooker! My grandmother, my mother and I have used pressure cookers for at least 50 years individually, different brands but never any problems. Obviously attached to pressure cooker☺️

I purchased this for my 6 qt. Power Pressure Plus XL. It fits well. It does slip out of place a bit when you remove the lid, but as long as you make sure it is in place when you replace the lid, it's fine. My machine keeps pressure and my food turns out well. It was worth the purchase, and I would buy again.

In my old Wolfgang Puck pressure cooker, the new ring works perfectly.
