Very good for my Guinea Pigs.
This product is very good for my Guinea Pigs, it's a lot bigger than most normal cages on Amazon and in Pet Stores. I have a list of Pros and Cons below, have a look. PROS Very spacious (you still need to let your piggies or rabbits run around outside of the hutch for exercise.) Overall assembly was pretty easy and I was able to put it all together quickly. The hutch has 3 removable trays that you just take out to clean. The wire mesh on the hutch still works for most of the accessories for my piggies, you may have to stretch it out though. Has 2 floors which adds more space and the second floor has a door that you can close if you need to separate a piggie or separate for other reasons. The door locks are pretty good quality. CONS Very strong smell when you open the box, you absolutely need to open and leave outside for a while if you want to build it inside. Ramp is way to steep and slick for my piggies, I put it down to the lowest I could and wrapped it in rubber shelf liner and it works well. Trays are too shallow, you need to put the absolute smallest layer of seeder down or you can't take the trays out because the seeder will clump at the end of the tray. Gaps between the trays and walls, this leads to seeder getting stuck to the side walls, and pee and poo dripping down to the lower level and the floor. Seeder come flying out of the wire mesh when my piggies run, yep when my piggies run their seeder come flying out of the hutch, best to put plexiglass or something of the like so that stops that issue. Way to dark, it's dark on the top and bottom floors you really can't see your piggies, so I added super cheap led light strips to the top of each section and that helps and looks amazing. Lock for the large section with the ramp is cheap plastic, I just used it for the door on the top floor so I can lock it during cleaning. Conclusion It's not a very bad hutch, but there most definitely are problems that can be fixed really easily without spending a lot more. I do hope that this helps at least a little bit. I will say again, make sure you open the box outside and let it air out, the smell is insane.

You’ll be glad you got it
If you are on the fence about buying this due to negative reviews, let me tell you, this is an incredible hutch. The smell? It’s cedar. It isn’t bad, it’s quite pleasant but it does arrive out of box strong. I let it breathe overnight before I put it together the next day and it definitely had subsided. Regardless, it isn’t a bad smell as it softens. I promise it isn’t flimsy, it’s sturdy put together and doesn’t flex at all. I used clamps to keep it aligned piece by piece as I drilled shallow pilot holes in all of the areas that required screws, and I used a second drill to add my screws. I would imagine the reviews stated wood splitting and/or coming together crooked is user error: rushing, using a manual screwdriver and not making pilot holes as guides. If you’re handy, have skills/proper tools and understand patience creates quality, you will be impressed with the final product. I am going to secure a piece of MDF board to go over the top of the large lift-up lid because I have cats and the screen will NOT hold up to the weight of a cat, but that is my only personal concern that can easily be remedied while still looking nice. I recommend this hutch if you are unsure, and you know you’ll take your time assembling it with the right tools. All of the panels line up perfectly, the trays go in and out smoothly, and the end result looks very clean and nice. I really really like it and I am very happy I bought it.

Just buy it! Worth it!
I received this on 9/9/25 and wanted to submit a decent review since I was so hesitant and kept it in my cart forever b4 purchasing it! If you were like me...Go for it! However few things to keep in mind, even though I purchased it for $100, it cost $60 for shipping! The setup was fairly easy after I ordered the pieces A-Z. This cage is extremely cheaply made! The quality was even funnier at best! However, I knew going in it wasn't going to be made with top notch wood. You get what you pay for. The corners were not the least bit aligned. Looks like my 10 year built it. Maybe its bc my husband is a woodworker? So my expectations might be a little higher. But it works extremely well for our 2 guinea pigs! They each have their own little space to relax in and there are soo many access points! That's a positive and It's extremely easy to clean! Has 3 pull out drawers. I clean the top drawer first, then put them in the top part with the door shut to clean the 2 bottom drawers. Its perfect! Dump shavings, hay, poop, etc and a quick spray down with my hose and a quick dry and each drawer is done within 5 mins! This is heaven compared to other cages! Some reviews discussed urine/feces coming out the sides of the drawer, I don't see how that happens because each drawer has a lip which I assume is to keep everything in. Others complained about their cages paint chipping off! That's exactly whats going to happen when you put animals that chew in or near wood! Especially since rabbits and guinea pigs are known for chewing! I just hope the manufacturing company doesn't use toxic paint! My piggies chewed instantly! Overall, I think it's a decent small animal cage with pros and cons! But it definitely does the job while looking cute and tidy!

Beautiful cage. Got it for ferrets, so I don’t have to worry about chewing. It’s huge.

Amazing quality cage but I made the mistake of buying it for my chinchillas and they completely chewed through it in multiple areas in under a year. Would be ideal for a non-chewing animal

As to be expected for a low cost solution. Purchased for quail. Materials decent quality for the price. Being in Canada I definitely wouldn’t call this an “outdoor” solution unless it is in a covered space (I will be putting it on a covered porch and likely won’t have any rain or snow at all - the wet I feel would cause serious damage especially if it were to freeze. The hardware cloth is definitely better than plastic but not something I would consider raccoon proof by any stretch - if the frame holds up I will likely change it out to “real” hardware cloth before wild food supply becomes scarce in the fall. The only other area of improvement would be that the trays have no latches so could easily be pulled out by predators and there is no hardware cloth under them so the animals would either fall to the ground level from the top inside the coop area or would fall out of the whole enclosure if you remove the bottom trays. I will be adding the “real” hardware cloth to the bottom for sure before putting it outside once it is aired out

This cage is huge and my Guinea pigs love it. The plastic trays make it easy to clean. They love the little house on top. It was pretty easy to put together. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a good size cage.
