I was disappointed to discover a large current draw on the house battery after the engine is off. 1.3 amps 24 hour a day will draw your battery down quickly for no reason except poor design. No excuse for such a waste of energy in this day and age.

Well made. Replaced an old battery isolator with this on an rv and also installed one on a boat. They work well. Unlike an isolator, there is no forward voltage drop so no need to move the alternator sense wire, and there is no additional connection between the alternator and battery, so reliability is increased. There are 3 terminals to hook up in addition to the big wires going to the two battery positive posts. One goes to ground. Another will power a light when it's combining. Putting power to the third will force a combine - handy for using the house battery to help start the engine. Only the ground is necessary.
