Mazuri | Nutritionally Complete Food for Large Birds | 3 Pound (3 lb.) Bag

Bought for my blue and gold macaw. She absolutely loved the big pieces but wouldn't eat the small pieces and this food is 90% small pieces. She especially didn't like the little donut shaped pieces for whatever reason. Which is very disappointing and is a waste because she throws majority of the small pieces on the floor. I think this is great food and would have given 5 stars if at least 50% of the food had been big pieces for larger birds like mine. Then maybe she would have eaten more of it instead of throwing it on the floor. Loved this food but it's not cost effective for us because she only eats the big pieces and there aren't enough of the big pieces in it. **Update** I gave my bird the rest of the food to eat so as not to completely waste it and my bird decided she likes this food and now she won't eat anything else. She's eating big and small bits alike and not throwing any on the floor anymore! Absolutely amazing because she is super picky and usually doesn't change her mind. Best bird food we've tried so far and I think this is going to be our go to from now on :)

My African gray has been eating this for years. Happy to get it here, cheaper and hassle free.

My picky cockatoo loves this food. He’ll still dump his food when he wants attention but for the most part he eats it all.

My African grey has refused to eat any pellets food…. Until I discovered Mazuri pellets. Or should I say HE discovered them…. In his bowl. He thinks these are treats and actually looks forward to the fresh bowl each morning. I keep these in his treat cup on his playstand as well. My Quaker has decided to fly over to the greys stand and help herself to these tasty tidbits! Success!! I don’t normally leave reviews but I felt that if my extremely picky 35 yr old grey( a rescue I took in 4. yrs ago), will devour these pellets, perhaps there is someone else out there that can get their parrot on a healthy diet. I tried Harrison’s/nutrisoft/tops/Rowdybush and so many others. Getting my boy to eat healthy has been daunting. The search is over. Mazuri for the win!

I loved it: clean, healthy, respectable. My African parrot could not be induced to eat it. I used all my tricks and guile. No sale. She would pick it up, roll it around with her tongue and fling it as far as she could. It’s expensive so I might end up eating it with blueberries and yogurt.

I have a super picky African Grey who is afraid of broccoli and many other fruits & veggies. He does love these shaped pellets, though Eats it all, everyday. Helped curb his seed addiction too.

I hope Amazon always keeps this in stock because it's an excellent food and Winter loves it. There was a time when Amazon didn't carry it for a while so I contacted Mazuri. I was told they have stopped shipping to Canada, but it's back. I am so thankful. It's been a hard food to find. I could have had it shipped from B.C. but that would have been a little extreme. Highly recommend if you are a parrot owner.
