Essential if you like Slushies - only I should have ordered two cups!
After suffering from Lymphoma I was left with saliva gland problems so used to use ice pops to ease sore mouth. I bought one of these cups on impulse, simply because my ice-pops were out of stock! This is a perfect alternative, the only downside is that I need to order another cup as I can't wait six hours between slushies!! Firstly as the product shows, you get one cup (some reviewers have unfairly given this product 1-star because they didn't read and thought they would get all four). I wasn't expecting this cup to work that well, but froze it for 6 hours or so, then added cold orange juice from the fridge. Amazingly the cup does exactly as it says and within a couple of mins you get a really soft slushy drink. All you need to do is squeeze the cup sides and enjoy! I've been experimenting, juices are great, as is cola & lemonade or squashes (tip mix them stronger than normal for better results). Also you can get slushy mixes from Amazon if you like the shop-bought slush drinks. The cup is also cheaper and far easier to use than some slushy machines you can buy. The cup comes apart easily for washing then putting back in the freezer. It also makes amazing proper iced coffees for a fraction of the price of a coffee chain! I bought this and have not regretted it one bit. The slushies are just right - I've tried crushing ice to make them before but this method is much easier and a better result. If you like slush drinks then this is pretty much an essential purchase!

Brilliant!
I don't understand all the negative reviews saying this product doesn't work. As long as you follow the instructions properly, then it works perfectly. My son has had coke and fruit juice slush so far and loves them, plus he can't suck all the flavour straight out of them, like he does with the usual Slush Puppy variety bought when we're out. I spotted another review saying you have to have a chest freezer for the cup to work. This is incorrect, your freezer drawers just need to be deep enough for the cup to stand up in. I have standard sized freezer drawers and have no problems. Just make sure the cup is properly frozen and your drink is already chilled before using. I am now waiting for the price to come back down, so I can order another one. My son loves it so much I need a spare to always have one ready to use!

works in minutes
I was sceptical that this would work but I've found that this works well as long as the cup has been in a freezer for at least 4 hours AND all the ingredients are cold from the fridge. I have used juice, squash, yoghurt and cold flavoured milk and they have all slushed by 5 minutes. I think the texture of the water based products is best with the yoghurt more grainy. It produces just enough for a treat. I haven't used it with children but I can see they would find it easy and fun. The cup needs to be taken apart for cleaning and the first time it is a little confusing but now I easily do this. I keep a cup in the freezer all the time and have bought another. I gave a 4 because it's quite expensive but I will use it a lot. Also, you cant choose which colour to have.

Brilliant!!
I was sceptical after reading some of the reviews of these, but they seemed like such a good idea they had to be worth trying - much better than the rolling-pin-ice-exploding-ziplock-bag combo. Fortunately, they're superb! We left the cup in the freezer overnight, and put in squash and chilled soda water. A couple of minutes of not very arduous squeezing, easy even for a child, and presto! Firstly we got fairly granular ice crystals, but with a few more squidges these broke down and became just like the slushies from machines. The components seem to be of a good quality. Probably the greatest risk is puncturing the clear plastic inner which holds the freezer gel or whatever it is, but careful washing should hopefully prevent that. Haven't tried it with dairy based drinks yet, but putting anything fizzy in is a waste of a drink - I should've realised that beforehand! The only minus is having to refrigerate the drink before putting it in the cup which requires planning and fridge space, killing the spontenaity somewhat. But perhaps if it's not in use later, I might plan ahead and have a go at a frozen margarita ;-)

The Best Marketing For The Worst Product!
My 4 year old daughter was totally taken in by the marketing and wanted one for her birthday present. We were quite happy to get her one because on the face of it, it seemed quite a good idea. How wrong could we be! This has to be the biggest pain up the arse product 2013!! You have to freeze the cup AND its lining before you use it and you must freeze it standing upright. For some reason if you don't. it doesn't slush as well. Secondly, the drink that you put into must be chilled. The colder, almost frozen the better. Again, if it's a room temperature, it doesn't work. So unless you have a super duper fast freezing freezer, bank on one drink a day! And even when we have got a totally frozen cup and an very chilled drink, we have never managed to get it like the photo and the adverts. Hasten to add, we will not be buying one for our son!

Good, but expensive for a product that doesn't last long
Bought two of these last year (two children, so of course they need one each!) and was really impressed to begin with - slushy in seconds! However, when I've tried to use them this year, the cups just won't freeze. There still seems to be liquid in the inner bags, no leaks that I can find, and I've tried different locations in the freezer, but no luck. I had considered buying more, but the price seems a bit much for something with such a short lifespan. Guess we'll have to go rescue Mr Frosty from the loft!

It really does work
I don't as a rule write reviews as I generally have more important things to do with 2 little ones running around but I do like to read them and often base my purchases on other people's experience. I was a little dubious about buying this cup due to the volume of bad reviews. But took the chance, keeping my fingers crossed that the positive ones were the most accurate. Well... All I can say is it definitely does work and I don't really understand why people have had problems. The only thing I can think of is their freezers aren't cold enough. Mine is adjustable and currently on -22 and in 4 hrs the cup was ready to do its job. Possibly other uses aren't doing the whole squeezing thing for long enough. The advert, to be fair, does give the impression that you will have a full blown slushy in about 3 seconds with 3 squeezes but in reality it takes more like 30 seconds of active squidging to get the desired results... Hardly overly taxing. My first attempt was with a Pepsi for my son which worked brilliantly and I'm now supping on a peach and apricot smoothy in the garden... Bliss! My only gripe is that with 6 kids and a couple of adults quite partial to a slushy now and again the ยฃ12.88 price tag each is a bit steep.. Maybe I'll have to implement a rewards scheme where the most chores done wins the slushy of choice... Which of course will mean that I win every time.. Hey hum

Surprisingly brilliant!
I am sooo impressed with this cup! I have never written a review on amazon before but I felt compelled to do so. I must admit, I was dubious as to whether this would actually work but was pleasantly amazed when it did. I had it in the freezer a full 24 hours before using it as that's the first time we got a chance, and as my son wanted milkshake in it, we put it in the freezer for a few minutes with the milkshake in (as per instructions for dairy products) took it out, started squeezing and lo and behold, we had ice! It turned to shards first and then on further squeezing it turned to slush. My little boys and I are so impressed, I shall definitely be buying another one! Also would make a great present for any child who likes slushys! Brilliant, thank you :)
