By 'wooden' wall they mean studs. So if you cannot line this up on the studs for the screws, you'll need wall anchors. These anchors must rated for the weight of the stand and everything you put on it; to include bike, shoes, helmet, etc. 75lbs (34kg) will be more than enough to cover nearly anything and can be found at any hardware store.
