Works much better than expected

i am currently in the process of building a pole barn and found it necessary to find the best way to cut deep ribbed metal pole barn sheeting. so last week i spent sixty bucks on a used milwaukee metal shears, and fifty seven bucks on a dewalt metal nibbler for impacts, and seventy dollars on a bauer metal shears and one hundred four spent on the ryobi shears. i was a desperate man. now let me tell you this....NONE OF THESE CAN NAVIGATE THE ONE AND A EIGHTH DEEP RIBS OF THIS POLE BARN METAL VERY EASILY. However, that being said... THE RYOBI IS BY FAR THE BEST AT CUTTING THIS TYPE OF MATERIAL. it is not easy...but it is by far MUCH BETTER than using tin snips and alot better than the other three nibblers. i am glad i got it!

Takes a mintue to learn how to use. Once mastered I would not live without. Just cutting a few sheets of metal it is worth investment. Light and easy to use. Much better than tin snips.

This is a great tool. It does the job i purchased it for, in that I used it to cut metal roofing, cutting to length. The only problem is that the metal roofing I am cutting has ridges (6" or so of flat metal, then it comes to a ridge, bump, or what ever you want to call it, of about 3/4" to 1" high). When the cutter gets to one of those ridges/bumps, because of the size of the blade and the ridge, you need to manipulate the cutter to finagle the cut. After I have finished the cut, being 36" wide, I have had to go back with hand tin snips to make a more smooth or price cut to get the edge strait. I would assume if you are only cutting flat metal you will probably be ok.

I used a few different drill attachment cutters in the past and had researched many before my purchase, I have to say that I love these cutters, has cut right through many wire fence and sheet metal,, have not used on anything else yet,, all of my tools are 18V Ryobi, I searched Home depot for weeks waiting for this to come back in stock with no results, so I came here and found it,, have only had it a few weeks now and will update in a few months, so far it has been awesome and the seller is great with fast shipping,, I am very happy with this purchase.. I initially thought I would chop up the pool sidewalls with my sawzall and some metal blades, but that did not work out at all. I have some Ryobi blowers and weedwhackers so I bought this P591 as its also the same 18V batteries. Wow, this shear cutter ripped through those sidewalls like butter.. unbelievable how easy to use, lightweight and it just performed beyond my expectations. I guess it can be used on many other materials too.

Does very well on thin materials. If the sheet has bends/creases the jaws may not open wide enough.

This offset shears make it so easy.

Great metal trimers , I've used them a few times and it's so much easier than using manual metal shears

I’m a big Ryobi fan and have many of their tools in my garage. They don’t sell this model in Australia, but I needed these for a particular job. Only used it 3 times and noticed a big crack at the base of the shears. Warranty in Australia on Ryobi is minimum 12months. Warranty with Amazon 30days. I would not buy Ryobi off Amazon Again.
