Good morning, Jose Hermandez sorry that we did not send the answer on time since the office is closed on weekends. no the truck is not metal it is plastic

How do I take off the bottom piece to replace the batteries??

This model does not use batteries, it is hand driven.

How big is the truck? 1:24 scale doesn't help me much.

1:24 means that a unit of measurement, such as one inch or one centimeter, on the model represents 24 units on the actual object. An example would be one inch of length on a model automobile would represent 24 inches on the real vehicle.

Is this a “pull back” one where it can roll forward on its own after you pull it backwards and release?

Hi there, this isn't a pull back vehicle but a 1:24 scale model.
