For my specific problem, it has worked perfectly for a full year.
An older boat, with twin Chrysler Marine 360's, with intermittent hydraulic lifter noise at idle on starboard motor. Isolating the noise to the specific location suggests one or two lifter(s) are (occasionally) remaining to some extent collapsed, resulting in increased clearance and thus noise. At higher RPM this disappears, probably as a result of increased oil pressure. Pressure gauges are in PSI and indicate that Oil pressure in the motors is within all specs at idle and speed with a solid margin of safety. Maintenance records indicated a sticky lifter(s) in past, but are incomplete in regards to service performed. Vessel is used and on third or fourth owner with rebuilt blocks. Both have sound compression and run smoothly with about 500 - 600 hours on the rebuild. How much was done and by who is unknown. 360 engines are flat tappet cams and are run on high ZDDP Oil specifically for this type of motor. To see if the lifter(s) could be freed up or performance improved, I added the Liquid Moly Hydraulic lifter additive to a fresh oil change. After an extended run of several hours, no lifter noise has was heard. The oil appeared to change color to a darker dirty color more quickly over the next few weeks of testing. I speculate that this is the result of the additive performing the described cleaning action. As a result of the discoloration, an earlier than normal oil change (1 month) was performed based on appearance (not analysis) and the additive used again. The theory was if we dissolve the crud; then remove the crud and start clean. Seems to make sense? A third change has just been performed after a full year/season, and still no noise. I continue to add 1 can per engine at each full oil/filter change. There was no desire to deal with the expense of new lifters/cam issues on an older rebuilt flat tappet motor. The engines are maintained carefully, and one can will be added to the appropriate range ZDDP oil at each change. My experience indicates: If the motor is mechanically sound, and lifter binding or clogging is the apparent cause of issues. Then this additive appears, as with many of the reviews, to restore the lifters to improved performance and quieter operation. As a comment. No engine additive can improve a problem if the internal engine condition is not suitable. In other words it can only improve the problem it is designed to fix. For this additive: low oil pressure, excessively damaged or fouled lifters, too much or too large dirt to overcome, metal particles in the oil, etc. could limit or prevent successful noise reduction. That's not a product issue, it is that these products perform a specific action and cannot work miracles on a junk motor. Negative reviews don't always take this fact into account. It can't rebuild a seriously damaged motor. It appears to clean a basically sound older dirty/worn one and provide improved lubrication and performance. It is not "Snake Oil". in my experience and did the job we asked of it extremely well. I first verified the basic criteria of engine vacuum, oil pressure, and smooth idle, etc. Then it was not hard to propose the cost of a new cam/lifter set vs a try at cleaning them up. I would never change lifters alone on a flat tappet marine motor, so we would have had to change the camshaft and lifters in place, then break in. I do not claim to be an engine expert, but for this specific situation, the thought was what have we got to lose? So far after a full season of run, it has been a great success. I will continue to use it at each oil change.

Worked for me!
Wow, quieted down the lash adjusters in my 205k mile Lincoln aviator (32v 4.6). Do I need to replace a few? probably, but they’ve been noisy for the last 15k and it’s a “beater with a heater” so this product went above and beyond IMO. Had I been using it when it first started I probably wouldn’t even need to change the noisy ones.

So far, so good!
I put in a bottle of the Liqui Moly and aftr driving th vehicle the little "tic-tic-tic when it was hot was nearly gone! I was concerned that because product is quite a bit thicker (higher viscosity) than the 5W-20, I was cocerned that the additive would make all of the oil a single thinker viscosity by making the polimers that change the viscosity as other similar additives have done in the past. So, I called the product assistance line and asked that very question! The rep assured me that wouldn't be a the result of using this addiive! I'll keep an eye on the viscosity when the engine is cold since the viscosity is "supossed to be) about the consistancy of water (5W) tto get oil to all of the engine upon startup. To answer the questions below: the appearance is opaque, it is unknown if it acually reduced friction, the cost is about equal to other similar products, no leakage was observed, the vehicle engine continues to operate smoothly but there is no wayto determine if there has been any cleaning action! However, the apparent sticky lifter noise is somewhat lessened, so far! We'll see........

Meh
Well. My risers still knock.

Worked on 1987 Mazda MPV with 160K miles on it.
Used this my my 1987 Maxda MPV that had an annoying/worrisome valve tap when cold. After a 5 mile drive with this added, I no longer have the noise. Hope it lasts. Even tried an engine flush before this and it did nothing so I'm happy with this product so far.

Lube It
Thick - however did not notice any change in lifter or valves. But feel confident well lubricated

Doesn't eliminate it, but it helps.
Works like a charm!!

Works like a charm!
Wow!! This does work, engine was always noisy for the first 5 minutes or so (typical for my 35yo car), but not anymore, engine sounds much quieter and smoother, can’t believe how good this is.
