My dog absolutely loves her Bow Wow Buddy! She carries it around everywhere and gets so excited whenever I bring out one of her favorite bully sticks. It’s been a total game-changer — I no longer worry about the choking hazards or sharp ends. Knowing she can safely enjoy her treats gives me so much peace of mind. Highly recommend for any dog parent!

This bully stick holder does exactly what it says - however, I was hoping to fit a Himalayan yak cheese chew into the center, which was too large for this holder. Definitely only for bully sticks, not for any other kind of bigger chews such as cheese or no-hides. This was an excellent product for us until we found our pup is allergic to beef and can't have bully sticks.

When I first saw this recommended I was very skeptical. I figured I'd give it a shot because I was throwing away like 4" long sticks because my dog likes to inhale it like he's a shopvac. With how much I pay for the 12" braided sticks, I justified the decision that worst case scenario i'd have to drill a hole in them so it won't come out. Well this thing works much better than I ever would expect. Most of the time, torque clamping is not an effective attachment method, but this just works.. Now he can get the sticks down to 1-2" which is saving me money now. Good investment that exceeded my expectations.

I bought the large size of this Bully Stick holder. However, I found that it does not hold smaller diameter Bully Sticks. The screw-down post/rod that locks the bully sticks into place has a 1/2" gap when fully locked down. The Bully Sticks I have are about 3/8" diameter. Therefore, when inserted in this device, they are not secure and fall out on the floor just by tipping the device onto its side. I then reordered the medium size bully stick holder thinking that a smaller holder would be designed to hold a smaller diameter bully stick. NO SO! The smaller medium holder is designed exactly the same as the large size and allows any bully stick that is less than 1/2" in diameter to drop out on the floor. This is really a poorly designed device. All the manufacturer needed to do was to extend the post that locks in the bully stick by 1/4" (or a bit more?) to make it work for most any diameter bully sticks. It appears that they have decided to cut corners here, to save a few cents on the cost of extending the plastic lock down post another fraction of an inch. That really is "dumb" on the part of whoever designed this device not to realize that bully sticks do come in a wide range of diameters. If the designer did not realize this, then he/she should not be designing these type products as they DO NOT WORK!

This is great when it works. However, there is a design flaw, as the screw doesn't extend far enough for all bully sticks.

I wanted something that would grip the chew stick so my boxer couldn’t try and swallow the last inch or 2 of whatever he was chewing. This device isn’t inexpensive. It does require the right size chew stick to work. It’s a heavy weight plastic with a screw you turn until it’s holding the stick tightly. The screw isn’t long enough to hold sticks that are a bit too thin. Even the chew sticks that were sent with the buddy were too thin and the screw too short to hold tight. One pull and the stick came out. Tried a YAK butter and that’s too thick to fit into the area designed for the smaller/rounder chew sticks. The company did send another package of chew sticks. The sticks can vary in thickness so not all of them will work with the buddy. If the screw were just a couple of threads longer…. It would fit more of the chew sticks. It works which all the stars align correctly. But it’s too expensive to be so finicky about the thickness of the chew sticks that you use with it. Many of the sticks that were in the package are too small to use with the Buddy holder.

I love this product so much! My dog had a traumatic brain injury in 2022 and has had right-side weakness ever since, which was difficult for him to adjust to at first as he is right-paw dominant. Like all dogs, my boy loves to chew on things, but it has been a little bit of a struggle since his injury because he has trouble grabbing onto the chews properly. He would have to stand and follow the chew around as he pushed it while chewing. Not exactly relaxing for him, and a bit destructive for me when he would inevitably crash into things. My friend told me about this product and I immediately ordered it, and he is finally able to lay down and chew his sticks in peace! It will be a little bit of a learning curve for him to learn how to grip it the best way, but he’s already much happier while chewing his chew toys. :)

After a scary (and costly) incident with one of my dogs swallowing a squeaker out of a toy, I’ve been very careful about what my dogs chew and play with. I had no idea the risks bully sticks can pose once a dog gets down to the end of the treat. So, when what could only be the undigested end of a bully stick my dog had left me in the backyard, I was in a slight panic. My vet said there was no need to discontinue the bully stick treats and recommended this product. It really is genius! My only one small concern is, at least with the large size I ordered, is if you get a slightly smaller bully stick, the holder can’t clamp down far enough to secure it. I found one of my dogs had pulled it completely out of the holder. I remedied this by tightly wrapping the bully with a paper towel, and re-clamping the screw. it would be nice if the design screwed completely down rather than leaving about a centimeter gap. You should still keep an eye on your dogs when they are enjoying their treats. Other than that, it is a wonderful product.
