There's not a star rating for packaging, but I'd give this five stars. This thing comes in two boxes, which in my case arrived on separate days. The bonehead delivery guy left the second box leaning against the garage door. My girlfriend was working from home, and having no idea it was there, opened the garage door. I expected to come home to a box of shattered glass, but it somehow survived its dive onto the concrete. So far so good. The assembly instructions are unintentional comedy. But if you look at the photos and parts for a while, you'll figure it out. They say 50 minutes; hahahahahahahaha. Took me about three hours. I got to use some of the words my dad taught me when I used to help him work on the family car. Anyway, here's a few tips. First, you definitely need two people for this. My girlfriend decided that the time I had set aside to assemble this thing would be a great time for a nap. I ended up building the thing pushed against a wall, with the top of the glass pieces I was assembling duct taped to the wall to keep them from falling on my head. I can't stress this enough, DON'T BE AN IDIOT LIKE ME, get a helper. There were no holes for the screws that hold the feet onto the bottom plate. They were marked, but I guess somebody forgot to drill those out. I used a 3/8" bit, but I wouldn't count on the screws being the same size on every package, you need to measure for yourself. There is a clear plastic piece that connects the two back glass parts together. Make sure you push this thing all the way down so that it touches the bottom plate when the back glass parts are fitted into the bottom plate slot; if you don't, then the top of the plastic piece will interfere with the glass fitting into the slots on the top plate. I know because I screwed this up of course. Instead of taking the thing back apart, I ended up cutting the top of the plastic piece off with a hobby knife. Don't secure the top plate to the angle braces before you put the doors in. Just put the top plate in place with the glass in the slots. Gravity is your friend here. Once the doors are in place, then put the screws in and tighten the top plate down. You will probably need to adjust the doors once you have them attached. Just loosen the hinge a bit, slide the glass door in the hinge as needed, and retighten. Easy peasy. I left the lock off, because nobody is stealing my model airplanes, so I can't comment on that part. I think this thing looks good for the price. It is obviously not rugged enough for applications where the doors will open and close all the time, but it meets my needs. There's no way you could ever move this thing assembled, so you might want to keep that in mind.

So I originally purchased this shelf as a replacement for the detolf shelf from IKEA as they discontinued the line. I went head and took the risk as I was running out of space for my bigger scale figures and needed something a little bit wider than the detolf to fit them. The product arrived in two boxes that were with wooden crates inside, and unfortunately were received damaged with some scratches along all six panels of the glass. I was a disappointed, but it would have been too much of a hassle to return both (come in 2 separate boxes) and it was not assured that the new ones would arrive scratch free. I definitely recommend these as they are sturdy. Instructions were a little bit difficult to understand but nothing like trial and error to figure it out. The right door did not line up with the rest of the shelf so every time I close the door, I do have to lift a little bit just to get it upon the magnetic peg to close but besides the minor issues, I do recommend the shelf to any collector. I bought this cabinet to modify as an indoor greenhouse for my wife. Still in process of adding fans and hiding the wiring. But it is a great cabinet to place in front of window to allow in natural light and still have lots of grow lights. I added wheels instead of using included feet. USB surge protector in base to power fans and lights. Built my own shelves for airflow and to house the fans and hide wiring. Added wood trim to hide wheels and wiring at bottom and top. Once I finish I will include to final picture but I wanted to show just what can be done with a cabinet like this. It is a good display case but as others have said. Instructions were bad. I had to figure out for myself how to assemble the Hinges. The nuts in the boards were installed to deeply. The screws for the brackets could not reach threads. Had to use a Allen wrench to back them out to be flush. Still for the money it is hard to beat this cabinet. Especially for a project like mine. Finally added final picture. After 6 months it's still solid and gets frequent compliments from guests.

This product is very, VERY difficult to put together. The package it comes in is split in two, both fairly heavy, one very awkwardly shaped, and there's barely enough hinges, screws, washers and such to put it together so if you accidently drop any, which is very likely, you better find it quickly. There's also a sort of plastic-rubber thing that is meant to hold the two back pieces of the cabinet together but it's almost impossible to get it on, ended up cutting the top 15% or so off and dremelling it down to be level with the glass in order to get the top on. On top of all that the instructions are not very clear at all and missing a few steps or don't tell you how you're supposed to do certain things. However, once you get it finished and put together, it does look nice, and it has no problem holding the various figures that I bought it to display within. In conclusion, a nice looking object that is way too hard to put together. If you plan to buy it, be prepared to spend a few hours putting it together and getting frustrated in the process.

Instructions in box are very vague, but another reseller HomVent has an actual build video on the Amazon page that was more helpful. I still couldn't tell how the clear spacers went but seemed to work best when put on the inside rather than outside. Definitely get someone to help you as doing it solo is doable but I had to leave the panels propped against a wall while fetching other parts, panels, screws, ect... super sketch. The door latches/magnetic bits were also a pain as there is no set point where they go. I eyeballed it as best I could, placed the pieces only to where they could slide abit and not fall, then lined everything up once the door was held by the 2 Black pins in the corners. There is some type of residue on both sides of the glass panels and I would recommend that you clean them beforehand as it is very resistant to glass cleaner, alcohol, and dawn dishsoap/water mixture. Never found a good solution other than just going over sections multiple times with mix of cleaners and alot of microfiber towels. So if you really want it, be prepared for some prep work and frustration to get a decent looking case.
