This Craftsman V20 Cordless Tire Inflator has quickly become one of my favorite practical tools. I already have Craftsman V20 batteries from other tools, so getting this bare tool inflator was a no-brainer for car and bike maintenance. The design is compact and the fact that it’s cordless means I can take it anywhere – I’ve used it in the driveway, at the park for bike tires, and even packed it on a road trip. To use it, you just snap in the battery, attach the hose to your tire valve (it has a threaded connector which feels secure), and set your desired pressure on the digital gauge. Then hit the button and it inflates automatically and shuts off once it reaches the set PSI. I’ve used it on car tires that were around 5-10 PSI low and it topped them up within a minute or so each – very convenient not having to find a gas station with a working pump. The digital gauge seems accurate; I cross-checked with a handheld tire gauge and it was spot on. It’s also great for bike tires and sports balls (comes with a couple adapters for those). The maximum is 150 PSI which is plenty even for my road bike tires. One of the things I appreciate is the built-in LED light – it’s small, but enough to illuminate the tire valve area if you’re inflating in the dark, which I had to do once when I discovered a low tire early morning. Noise-wise, it’s not too loud, sounds like a typical small compressor, but since it works fast it’s done before it can annoy anyone. After filling four car tires and a few basketballs on one charge (with a 2Ah battery), it still had juice left, so it’s reasonably efficient. The build feels solid, with compartments on board to store the hose and the accessory tips so they don’t get lost. Overall, this inflator is a hugely handy addition to my tool kit. No more quarters spent on gas station air pumps – this thing gives me quick, reliable inflating anywhere, anytime.

Works very well and fast to air up car and truck tires. No shut off switch other than the trigger switch. Just have to watch the air gauge on the back. Doesn’t come with a 12 volt battery so you have to buy an extra battery to make it work. Yes I am happy with my purchase.

Great inflator with one fatal flaw. I actually like this thing, it inflates pretty fast and is easy to use. The fatal flaw is that there is no hold on the trigger to air up tires. Meanwhile you have to hold the trigger the whole time.

This portable Craftsman V20 Cordless Tire Inflator works great with the V20 batteries that I already have. This is easy to use for car, trailer, and bike (Shrader and Presta valves). It is quick to inflate and needs no pre-charging of pressure. There is a lit digital pressure gauge. The user has to pull the trigger until the desired pressure is reached once the hose is connected. This unit does not automatically inflate to any set pressure. The maximum pressure is 150 PSI which is awesome and meets all of my needs. I wish this had a forward facing LED light to see the valve stems, but it does not. Other than that, this is a solid unit for the price.

This works wonderfully well! No big clunky compressor for a lady to mess with. Easy to use even showing the current tire pressure as air goes in your tire. Chargeable battery keeps you in good shape.

Oh My Goodness! EVERY ONE NEEDS THIS! I keep it in my garage. The charger is a battery pack that slides easily onto the handle. The air fills up quickly. I back my car out of the garage, then walk around my car without a cord or long hose. The display is large and the number read out is large print. Not at all noisy. This hand held compressor is a must for everyone. A bought one for my daughter which she keeps in her car. This compressor takes the worry and hassle away from filling my car tires. No need to find a gas station. The battery charges in very little time, then it’s good to go. It’s lightweight yet well constructed. Made in the USA!! Its very powerful.
