Smooth, nutty and really nice with milk
Iโm still fairly new to whole-bean coffee, and this Huila has been a great one to learn with. I brew it weaker than a typical specialty-coffee ratio, around 1:40, be ages thatโs simply how I prefer my coffee. I also donโt drink my coffee black, again itโs just how I prefer mine, so I noticed with regular milk, the citrus side becomes much more noticeable, especially the orange-like notes. With oat milk, it stays much softer and nutty, giving those caramel-like notes, which taste almost hazelnut-like to me. With either milk, this coffee has been smooth, interesting and very enjoyable. A really nice single-origin coffee if you like a balanced cup with nutty sweetness and a little citrus.

Delicious, fresh-tasting. Best coffee ever.
Delicious! I discovered Juan Valdez coffee in Colombia . Itโs what the Colombians drink. That speaks for itself.

Great Colombian coffee! Es suave y muy rico! Te va a gustar!
Very smooth! No drama in your cup. With a paper filter itโs almost too smooth. So I had to grind it slightly finer. In a gold mesh filter or French press the flavor comes out better. This is a trusted brand of coffee that never disappoints. Juan Valdez is not really a corporate middleman but more of a collective so it benefits the farmers more than other brands. It is always roasted properly to suit the beans, so it is not burnt and the Aroma and freshness are always good.

Juan Valdez, smooth, strong.
Taste was excellent, not bitter. Seemed to have high caffeine content. I wish there was a dark roast, though.
