Great item and good price

Fine for the price and easy enough to change the weights, a little poor quality on the thread maybe. They do smell a bit nasty new, and the grip isnt too good you'll probably want to add some sort of tape to improve.

I used this one or twice. It did have a strange smell when opening so give it a clean. The grip is good and the handle is a little thinner than expected. The material is strong, easy to clean and a good quality. The actual design is sturdy with the screw locks instead of those clip ones. They are easy to use....what am I kidding they are heavy so you need muscle to use. The different sizes do help though.

Really, £27.05 for 30kg of weights? Yes indeed and whilst they are obviously not cast metal, weight is exactly that, a weight. 2 short bars and a range of weights from 2.5k down to 1 kg. The max I can get on a bar is 18kg, not huge but I am more than satisfied using this weight for an easy bench press, doing light curls with 10kg on the bar and a range of other exercises to suit my age and frame to keep me strong and fit. There is more than enough weight to defeat me on a side lateral raise and I dare say, just about everyone else. 30kg is not a lot of weight for many, but these are easy to store, easy to assemble, the bars have a decent grip and simply put, they work. They are definitely for home use only, but for me they are ideal when I just want a 30 minute work out in the garage. Where they do lose out is they are quite bulky compared to metal, but for the money.......? Great value for money. Ideal for those who just need something to keep at home.

I'm guessing the high review scores for these are simply due to the fact they are among the cheapest you can get for the weight. And, sure, they do that job but they dont look or feel as good in person as they do in the pictures. They are extremely cheaply made plastic coated concrete like the old DP ones but with a rough coating that I'm sure is meant to stop the discs moving during exercise as there is no other attempt at locking them together. This would have had four stars but the bar locks on the dumbbell set are made from light cheap feeling plastic. The bars themselves are fine with a matching plastic coated centre grip - just dont see why they couldn't have metal locking nuts as the barbell set has. So then, it does the job but these really dont look attractive so I'd say save for a better full metal set unless you want something cheap that just does the job for say a garage gym. Because they arent the most attractive thing to have around the house.

The grip is alright, and it’s easy to store. It isn’t the most stable, as it seems as though the rings at the end come loose quite easily, but if tightened properly, it shouldn’t be too much of an issue. It’s easy to set up, and can fit basically anywhere as long as it’s apart. I think that the thickness of the discs are not bad, and it’s an alright product. Great for value and home gym.
