Cora 100% Organic Cotton Tampons Multipack (72 Light/Regular/Super Tampons)

I really like these tampons! I feel much healthier using them. The applicator was a little weird to use at first but got it on second try! I’ve seen comments about how the applicator is hard to use, all you do it pull the inner tube back so you can push the tampon out of the applicator. I didn’t not realize you had to pull the smaller piece back at first. Really not a hard product to use!

Clean product-peace of mind and comfortable. I just wish they would’ve kept the paper wraps/packaging

This review may contain T.M.I. (too much information) but bad tampons call for honest reviews. I've been using tampons for longer than I care to admit (i.e. decades), and I have been doing everything I can to switch most products in my life over to the highest quality, least toxic option. I tried several organic tampon options, which were all terrible, before settling on Rael for a little while. After receiving several boxes of Rael compact tampons that contained far too many defective tampons with useless applicators that refused to release the tampon, I gave up and bought a box of Cora to try. Wow. I didn't think a brand could be any worse, but here we are. Firstly, I can feel them. I know every woman/girl needs a tampon that fits her body, and that is often a long game of trial and error, but these are utterly bizarre. I can't even describe the sensation. It is NOT pleasant. Secondly, the cheap, flimsy applicators are posing the EXACT same problem I had with Rael. The applicator will not release the tampon, they do not insert properly, and then you are left with the age-old dilemma. "Do I try and move it into place myself, or do I go through the very painful process of removing it and trying a new tampon?" We all know that two misplaced tampons in a row is VERY painful. There is no good place to get a firm grip on the applicator, and struggling with a cheap applicator that will most likely NOT release the tampon on a heavy day is a nightmare straight from the Fiery Place. Plus, if you are forced to use a public restroom (usually with strict time limits) this headache becomes not only painful and frustrating, but embarrassing. Thirdly, even though I do not experience the rampant leaking problem I used to experience with Rael, these are irritating my body. My body hates them. Again, I've never had such an issue with any brand of tampons before. What is in and/or on these?? I've also noticed that the organic tampons don't have as much absorbency. The super is more like a regular from other brands, so I end up having to change them much more frequently. I think it's worth the potential hit to my health to switch back to Tampax Radiant. The applicator works flawlessly, the tapered grip handle works even on messy heavy days, I had zero leaks, and I wasn't spending my whole day in mild discomfort. Like most women, I don't have the luxury of worrying about leaks all day, nor I do have time to go to the loo every hour. I do not want to dread the insertion/removal of a tampon/applicator because you never know when you got a "bad one" in the box. I have yet to try a single "organic and natural" tampon that truly excelled in any way, which is truly a shame. Back to the Big Bad Corporate tampons I go... UPDATE: I've switched back to Tampax Radiant for a few months. No more leaking or irritation, and not a single flawed applicator. Not to mention I now have a range of tampons beginning with light all the way up to super+ that actually absorb properly. Whew!

I really appreciate the move toward cleaner, organic products, but in terms of functionality, these don’t quite match mainstream options like Playtex. The compact design is nice in theory, but the applicator feels a bit clunky during use. I’ve had multiple instances where the tampon didn’t fully release from the tube, which meant wasting it and starting over with a new one. That said, the absorption levels seem consistent and effective. Overall, it’s a decent option if you’re prioritizing cleaner ingredients, but there are some usability trade-offs to consider.

Love them and made the switch over from Tampax. I realized I had horrid cramps whenever I wore tampons but did not want to give them up. I heard Cotton tampons are better due to toxic chemicals in other brands. Over several months and cycles I tested these claims, switching between these Cora ones and the tampax ones and I definitely had little to no cramps when I used the Cora ones. There was a bit of a learning curve in the beginning with Cora. I realized after several failed attempts that you need to first pull the 2nd plastic part out first then insert. It won’t work if you try to insert the way it comes in the package. Also Cora tampons absorb the same if not better than other tampons. Sometimes maybe even a little well on lighter days as it makes down there dry. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and think it’s worth the extra cost over other brands not be in tremendous pain every month.

I used to wear regular tampons before I realized how much unnecessary BS & chemicals are in them, so I decided to switch to organic. I’ve tried several different brands, and so far Cora seems to be the best on the market in terms of organic tampons. Although, they are still not that great. There is pretty much zero leak protection. If I’m going to wear these I have to wear a panty liner with it because they leak that much. At that point I might as well wear a pad. I thought maybe I was leaving them in for too long (I normally have them in for 4 hours at a time) so I started wearing them for less I went to 2 hours before changing.. still leaking.. an hour.. still leaking. I by no means have a heavy flow period, but I have to wear the heaviest flow tampon and it still leaks! What’s the point of wearing a tampon if it’s going to leak so much? I’m going through way more tampons in a day then I should be. Also, the ratio for light, regular and heavy tampons is super off. Why so many light? What’s the point in even using light if the heavy flow can’t handle a normal period? These tampons don’t absorb anything! Aside from the poor absorption/leaking issue.. the applicator is awful and the string is far too long. Although, this issue is minor compared to the last and I can deal with this. I can say that these tampons are comfortable to wear and my cramps aren’t nearly as bad as compared to when I’m wearing a non-organic tampon. But.. the leaking. I can’t handle the leaking. If the tampon can’t absorb more then a dime of liquid and there is constant leaking.. it completely defeats the purpose of even wearing a tampon in the first place. And like I said, I don’t have a heavy flow period by any means. I’d say my flow is light-moderate. But I still have to wear the heavy tampons and they still leak, and I’m still constantly changing them. Can we like.. please get an organic tampon that actually absorbs anything and doesn’t leak?

Love that these are organic…but they don’t like to come out of the applicator. So it makes for a super awkward moment in washroom. Wouldn’t recommend truthfully.
