As a teacher, I have tried out many different types of pens over the years. I have used ballpoint pens, gel pens, clickers, and pretty much every other variation imaginable. I love pens and I love trying out new ones and I must say, I was surprised how much I like these retractable pens from Pilot. I have always like pilot pens but I typically don't use ballpoint pens. I typically use uni-ball vision elite pens, pilot G-2 retractables, pilot precise V5 RTs, and sharpie fine point pens. I know, I am a huge nerd but I really love pens. I was a bit skeptical when I first saw these, but I have never dislikes a pilot pen so I decided to give them a try and I am shocked how much I love them. They write like a Bic ballpoint but they are much more consistent and they have a finer point. I liked these so much that I also bought a box of red and black as well. They write very smooth, better than similar Zebra pens, the fine point allows me to write small which is my custom, and they seem to last for ever. I have pens in my backpack, in my desk at school, my car, and all over my house but I have yet to have one of these run out of ink and I have had them for over a year. There is really nothing negative to say about them. For fun I read a couple negative reviews about these pens and honestly, most of the complaints are stupid. Don't let naysayers sway you, these pens are amazing.

I've been using these pens for years. I discovered them over a decade ago when in Design School, and haven't found a pen I like more since. It breaks down to some really simple characteristics. First, the ink dries really fast. Meaning, you can make a line and pretty much immediately run your finger over it and it doesn't smudge. Second, This is one of the few pens (along with the "medium" version of this pen) that you can 'sketch' with. You can very easily very the weight of the line with pressure. This isn't the only pen that does this. There are certainly other pens that allow you to lighten your pressure and get a lighter line. But I've always felt that these pens excel in still giving a smooth roll across the paper and leaving just the right amount of ink. Third. The pen just feels nice as it scribes on the paper. Smooth, with just the right amount of resistance. Keeping in mind that that resistance may be great for drawing and notes, but may not be the best if you have to hand wright 15 pages. These have been hard to find in recent years. My guess is the characteristics that I like (which make them good for sketching and drawing) and not the best for extended righting (which I never do because I use a computer for that sort of thing)

Pilot's been making this particular pen since the early 80s. My momz used to write with this pen, back before they made this retractable model. I used a few in Middle and High School. In fact, what started me buying these again, about 10-13 years ago, was the fact that the Ball Point Pen game is just not what it used to be and I'd been remembering that style/quality/weight/look of this pen. She always had one on deck. And, it was not expensive. Pilot makes some of the best (budget friendly) Ball Point Pens on the market; and, their Ultra and Hyper Fine (G-Tec-C) lines of their Ball Point Pen Technology is also on point. At any rate, I have turned a few people onto this pen. They all remark on and are impressed with its handling, writing, balance, and ink quality. For those of you who are into good pens, and want a pen that writes smooth, doesn't feel awkward in your hand, and is lightweight yet balanced, give these a try. The way the Black ink shows up is definitely old school, too--it's not a synthetic black but, rather, a distinctive black -- almost like the distinction between, say, Jeffrey Osborne's "Only Human" and the Free Nationals/Daniel Caesar's "Beauty and Essex."

I ordered this and other stuff. Sadly other items and pens came thrown in the same boxes. Every single pen was out of the box, every 12. Apart from this they write excellently, no color variety just blue. They do not bring refills, they are a bit flimsy, no pen leakage

I purchased these pens after using the one that belongs to my boss. I love the very fine point. I work in an office where I use multiple forms that must be filled out by hand. They give little space to write in them. Having a pen with a very fine point that will not smear is absolutely wonderful. I wanted to get them in black as well but the black ones cost more, enough more that I wasn't willing to pay the difference. I have not had a problem with inkflow or skipping and it dries quickly.

I always buy these pens since I was in high school. I forgot about these but during my decluttering process, I was so happy to see my untouched box of these pens. I thought I used it all up but I guess I hid my last box somewhere. I guess it’s not too late for my review since I bought boxes of these multiple times here on amazon. I am a nurse and I always need a pen. This is the perfect ballpoint pen for me. Writes smoothly, simple design, consistent pen mark and does not mess my uniform unlike other pens that I ended up having ink marks on my chest pocket. It dries quickly and does not leak. I highly recommend these!

This is absolutely my favorite pen. I first discovered it in an office supply store 20 years ago when I was driving cross-country and needed a pen. The ink is excellent, flows well and they seem to last forever. I bought two boxes about 13 years ago and have just now bought another box. The only thing I dislike is the width of the pen, I wish it was thicker to make holding it easier but that problem is easily remedied by putting the ink stick in a thicker pen body.

El producto es sencillo, pero de buena calidad y la escritura es suave, no se amontona la tinta, no mancha, punto fino, aunque es retráctil, la punta no tiene juego (movimiento) , por lo que la hace muy precisa. Me encantan estas plumas. No es la más económica pero lo vale.
