Silicone Mini Muffin Pan
B**N
Great pans at an affordable price point.
I purchased these muffin pans because I wanted to make tons of mini-muffins at a time, and these pans definitely did the trick. Most of the negative reviews on these pans complain about the fact that they are flimsy, which they are; but that is just the nature of silicone. You will need to put a baking sheet under the pan to keep it level in the oven. There also was some controversy over whether the pans were 100% silicone, with the manufacturer saying they are 100% silicone, and some purchasers claiming that twisting the pans produced a white mark which to them signals less than 100% silicone. I was unwilling to destroy my pans by doing this, and so I cannot in good conscience confirm the construction either way.I did make a killer batch of yogurt muffins, and they came out perfectly formed, and they were cooked all the way through, which was not always the case when I was using metal pans. This tells me that they effectively conduct heat as designed. The item description mentioned they are able to withstand up to 450 degree heat, which is more than I ever really bake at. It seems to me that if you need to bake at that temp or higher, you should most likely go with different pans.I greased these pans with PAM brand spray (with flour) and they were a little difficult to clean as a result... They remained a tiny bit oily after blasting them with hot water and soap, but really, this could actually be a bonus as they seem to permanently be pre-greased now.For the price, I am completely satisfied with this purchase.

Amazing product... for my use: mini frittatas
OK... I am not a big baker. Never will be. However, I do like to cook. And recently I have been experimenting with mini frittatas. With great success!I had one aluminum mini cupcake pan, and needed more capacity. So I bought this pair of silicone pans. The experience was AMAZING. For cooking mini frittatas, these are the BEST! I still put a bit of cooking spray inside the cups, but the frittatas just pop out... no scooping or crust left on side of pan. And it is even more fun to clean them! Nothing stuck on, and their flexibility makes them much easier to wash.I was talking tonight with my spouse, about my desire to throw away our original aluminum mini cupcake pan. She would not let me do it... probably the right decision. But for mini frittatas I will not use it ever again!

Very happy with the quality and functiinality
I have been able to whip up all manner of amazing bite size yummies which store well and travel well. From mini quiche to chicken nuggets to mini hamurgers. (Those were so much fun because we made a batch of minu hamburger buns too and it was like eating toys but with actual food. Kid approved for sure) and the molds are durable and good quality. Do oil or use cooking spray, and they need to be in a tray. But I'm very happy.Update 3/20/2018 when there is a little sticky risidue that doesn't readily come off, I just soak the mold in water and a slice of fresh lemon or a squirt of vinegar overnight and then it comes off easily. I know it says dishwashwer safe but I found the dishwasher abrades the molds or something and stuff sticks more to molds after that, so I've never put these molds in the dishwasher and they are pristine after a lot of use, even when something (cheese) did stick, just doing the above, was all it took. And i always oil or butter or spray. These molds are also thicker silicon, higher quality than the first one I got elsewhere, it may have somerhing to do with that too. Still super happy.

Flimsy silicone but does the trick
Very nice product especially if you’ve struggled with cupcakes/muffins/etc sticking in the past. They are super simple to use - like regular tins, you just pour the batter in each of the cups and stick the whole thing in the oven. Afterwards though, the muffins just pop out when you invert each of the little cups by hand. You don’t even need to run a knife along the edges or anything. They are so easy to use and ensure that you don’t have any stickage on your baked goods. For this reason, they should get 5 stars BUT the silicone is extremely flimsy, so you have to be careful about how much batter you fill each cup with. I have other silicone molds that I use for baking cakes and such and they are all much studier and I don’t worry about let them bending or drooping. However here, you can see from one of my pictures - where the egg batter spilled over the side, which happened when I was ever so carefully trying to pick up the cupcake mold and put it in the oven and all the little cups were full. The mold itself doesn’t stay flat and will droop in the middle, causing the batter in the cups to shift and overflow. A work around is potentially using a sheet pan underneath and keeping the mold on the sheet tray the entire time (through the cupcake filling process and baking). This would ensure that the mold stays flat and you can fill up each little cup and not worry about them moving and spilling during transport from the counter to the oven.

Liked them so much I bought them for three other people
These are sturdy, you can easily remove muffins/cupcakes and they clean-up well. I liked them so well I bought three sets as gifts for family members. We've all been using them for a year now and they are still holding up beautifully. I don't use liners. I spray it with a cooking spray instead. When I go to remove them, I usually put a sheet on top of the muffins in the holders and invert the whole thing. You can then easily push them out. One tip I have is to put the filled muffin holder on a cookie when when you put it in the oven and bake it on there. I find it to be a bit wobbly when full because it's flexible silicone. I didn't want to risk spilling anything trying to get it in the oven. I recommend these if you’re shopping for mini muffin pans.
