They love them and my vet approves. Better than seed.I feed them veggies in am and these in pm. I started wondering if I could wet them, so I went to lafaber.com/pellets like it states on the back of the bag and checked out ways to introduce the new food to your parakeet. At the bottom it mentioned moistening the pellets, but warned to clean the dish out every few hours because of bacteria. I tried just that, and my young budgie chowed down. What a difference it has made! She was previously getting tired from a few short flights or walks around the room, but now she loves being out and is almost hyperactive. She really seems like she has so much more energy. I bought these because she was only eating the seeds out of her other food (a mix of seeds and these biscuit things), and she only eats fresh veggies if I hand feed them to her. I like that I don’t have to take the time to crush these pellets up, as I’ve seen other reviewers mention, but I do have to pay more attention to making sure the pellets get cleaned out properly a couple times a day.
