Love the photo ark book series. Such great pictures and a wide array of unique birds!

Amazing photos just like the other Ark books.

Stunning book! It will be a Christmas book for my bird loving son and he will LOVE it. I was entranced by the beautiful photos and tidbits of cool info I viewed before wrapping. The photos of some birds that take up 2 pages still looked lovely to me and did not take the beauty away from it. It will not bother my son either. For the price it is great. It could be even greater if a very large book so one large image is not spread on 2 pages but would cost far more so for the price I am pefectly fine with the layout.

Joel Sartore has several different books concerning his projects of photographing all the animas in the world. His photography is stunning. I received Birds of the Ark as a gift, I purchased another book in the series and look forward to purchasing the last in this series. These are great educational books on how world has ruined habitat and made so many species endangered. Every page has beautiful photographs.

We are so lucky that Joel Sartore is sharing his mission of photographing animals and birds before they go extinct with these stunning photographs. What makes his photographs so great is the personality he captures of his subjects. That is not an easy task to do with a photograph as those who have tried to capture the personality of their pets in a photograph will attest as animals do not pose. My personal favorites are the whimsical Great Grey Owl, the Oriental Stork that seems to be grinning at the camera, and the cuteness and pair bond of the Crested Auklet?I bought two copies of this book - one for my wife's classroom of third graders as she is a teacher. I hope that the magic of some of Sartore's pictures will inspire kids in the classroom.Hopefully, some of his photographs and books can make a difference for preserving these amazing animals with is the author's goal.Its not too late to protect many of these animals!
