Great product
Great product! Compact, fit perfectly in my small kitchen. Stylish, very nice design. Heats up fast.

Pricey - but perfect
There are many options at 1/4 the price, but to me, this one is worth the extra money. Very efficient: I usually boil just enough for a cup of tea, which it does in barely 2 minutes. It is stylish, very well made. Looks great in the kitchen. From the photo, you might think the handle would get hot when in use, but it does not. Stays perfectly cool. If you use it enough to justify it, spend the extra bucks and get a quality product.

USED TO Love this Kettle like a Hobbit Loves Second Breakfast.
MY FIRST REVIEW: uhh... seriously this is one of the cutest, awesome working, easy kettles i've ever had, hands down my absolute fav of all time... and I'm nearly 50:) I don't have anything really technical to say about it. its a qualtiy product. use is intuitive. I could easily keep this one for the rest of my days. and barring any unforseen weird malfunction, I would buy another one to replace...just a great all around product. I would definitely recommend as a gift. there is a wide color assortment too. FINAL: I PURCHASED THIS KETTLE July 22, 2017. TODAY IT STOPPED WORKING (2/08/2020). I am very sad - i loved this tea kettle. Truth is, This has been a work horse in our kitchen. Daily morning and often evening use as well. I'm not sure how long i expected this countertop appliance to work but it was longer than this. I have to say, that I still enjoyed using it everyday, the aesthetics bring a smile to my face still. On closer inspection the base has a small melted blemish, (I'LL POST PICS) but it's not near the connectors so i don't know if that's the cause or what. But now I have to make another purchase, and I'm not sure what to do. I've tried connecting with kitchenaid via their live chat but it isn't working today, so i sent them an email and have to wait a few days to hear back. In that time I will have already decided what to do. In fact I will most likely purchase one more and give this little dynamo the benefit of the doubt. I may also try just using the kettle on the stove...it is stainless steel after all. I still highly recommend this product. We are high use users, and this would probably have lasted another year or so with avg./normal wear.

It gives me hot water and it does it fast
It has a nice look And it shuts off automatically whether you wanted to or not It does not leak I use filtered water Heat the water Quite quickly I won't say instantly Definitely faster than on the stove top So I am pleased with it's performance It has a spot that you could hang tea if you wanted to in it And it also has a filter for the spout It seems to be made of good material. I haven't had rust yet How high to fill it Marker inside You don't have to feel the side. It's actually so easy I wish I took a picture and maybe do so but I have some time Washing it isn't as easy but I've never run across the teapot that's easy to wash.. Lol. But my hand is small enough to get in there and move around I try not to let water sit in it when I'm not using it. With any teapot. . It's just not good to do that with metal My tea tastes wonderful It's hot Though I wish it would heat for just a little bit longer. There is no button to change it to heat for a little bit longer that is the 1 downside. I wait a few seconds and press the button down again It is pricey compared to what that you would put on the stove Repeat for the quality That's why you pay more

Well Designed and Beautiful!
This KitchenAid electric kettle is an absolute gem! It’s not only beautiful but also incredibly functional. The sleek design adds a touch of elegance to my kitchen, and I’m truly impressed with how thoughtfully it’s been crafted. It’s easy to use, heating water quickly and efficiently, and the ergonomic handle makes pouring a breeze. Cleaning is also a cinch, which is a huge plus for a busy household. If you’re looking for a combination of style, performance, and convenience, this kettle is the perfect choice! Highly recommend it!

Classic plastic free electric kettle
I bought this because there’s no plastic on the inside of the pot where hot water touches. Video is ownership condition after 3 months - easy to wipe clean, tasteful design. Boils 2 cups of tea in about 2 minutes, so more time (and energy) efficient than stove top or microwave boiling. American plugs have lower voltage so if you’re from a place with 230V outlets don’t be too concerned the kettle is heating up slower than you’re used to, that’s normal for 120V. Has all the safety feature (circuit breaks when you lift the pot) and pours nicely. You can only fill it about half way, where the metal MAX tab is (see video). Great for cups of tea or coffee or filling up a hot water bottle.

Plastic Report
Sadly, as of Jan. 2024, there is plastic in the inside of the lid and inside the kettle itself. It was difficult, when researching this kettle, to discern whether there is plastic inside it. From what I was able to gather from the company product info, the only plastic inside the kettle is the removable filter in the spout. Not so. There are in total three, nonremovable plastic parts inside the kettle. The interior of the lid uses two plastic parts, which serve as the nuts for the handle of the lid to screw into (see photo). These parts will come into contact with steam. You could maybe find food grade stainless steel nuts to replace them??? And it is true that the plastic filter is removable from inside the kettle; however, the bracket that holds the removable filter in place inside the kettle is a large, black hard plastic piece (see photo). It's possible that this piece can be removed without doing damage to the interior of the kettle. I didn't try. I didn't want to risk damaging the kettle since I am returning it. Disappointing. I had high hopes for this kettle. It seems that KitchenAid, knowing that plenty of consumers are concerned about the health hazards of plastics that contact food, might have have made a few adjustments, substituting these plastic parts with food grade stainless steel, to guarantee that this product is as safe as it can be for the people who use it.

Cute & fast but noisy with a short cord.
Cute, lightweight, fast! But as another reviewer commented, the kettle is very noisy when heating up. It must be because the water is echoing in the stainless steel chamber. It’s much louder than any kettle I’ve ever had. The power cord is also comically short, you can only move the kettle about a few inches away from the outlet where it’s plugged in. Just be aware that the cord is incredibly short. The base is also really cheap and flimsy, I expected it to be more substantial.
