THIS IS A REVIEW FROM ANOTHER SUPPLIER BUT THEY ALL SEEM TO BE THE SAME INGREIENTS - I'm going to give five stars. ATTENTION OWNERS with DOGS WITH KIDNEY DISEASE!! My dog was diagnosed with advance kidney disease. I tried the vets prescription dog food - low in protein type. Yeah, he ate it for the first week but after that he declined the meal. I had been looking into rehmannia Chinese pills as an alternative but I figured I would give the vet a chance. Well, on the low protein meals he just keep loosing weight over a six month period until he had lost 20% of his weight - this is an 8 pound 16 year old Yorkie I'm talking about here. I had bought these pills about 3 months into his disease but never gave them because of the vets advice. He began to really slow down and just laid around all day. It's now into week 2 where I have given him one pill every other day and his energy it HIGH and his appetite ( one thing I really worried about) is also through the roof. He is now eating like crazy - let me say now that I had given him the kidney food prescribed by the vet and that seemed to get him throught the day but never by the dog's choice... I have since switched to a low protein meal, after giving him high protein (because he would eat it) and the results are very good. I now make him a slice of buttered toast in the morning and mix that with some cooked chicken thighs - about a 50/50 mix of bread and chicken - I don't know, it seems to REALLY work with the pills of course - you have nothing to loose, please try if you are at your wits end on balancing between starving your kidney diseased dog and taking the advice of your vet. Yes, I have read that giving dogs diary products is not good news. But I have read that white bread is very good carbohydrates with a little protein - not hesitate to try this, don't lie to your vet but it's your dog's life on the line here. so choose wisely. I'm willing to respond to any messages you might have.

I think this product is helping me to protect my kidneys from chemotherapy.
