Very high quality and excellent value replacement bracelet.
Pros and Cons of this bracelet. This probably applies to all of the Strapcode/Militat bracelets and not just the specific one that I have purchased. Lets get the cons out of the way first; The packaging is as basic as it could be - just a clear plastic sleeve, with no box or additions like a springbar tool or screwdrivers. Nice packaging is nice to have and I did expect better as I've bought plenty of straps for my watches and some come with very nice packaging which adds to the buying and "unboxing" experience. Though saying that, in the grand scale of things this doesn't really matter - it's not like buying a watch where the packaging adds value and may need to be reused. The product arrived in a perfectly satisfactory condition so the packaging has done its job. There where covers to protect the endlinks and hold the springbars in place and the bracelet was wrapped in plastic to protect it further. Nice packaging is icing on a cake but in this case the money has gone into the cake. As I said before - there were no tools included - though it does come big fat springbars like the ones you get with an SKX. I would expect that most buyers of this bracelet will already own plenty of springbar tools so again, this isn't an issue. It would have been nice for it to come with an appropriately sized screwdriver - as you will need one to size the bracelet - but I predicted this and have also bought a set of jewellers' screwdrivers. These haven't arrived yet so I haven't been able to size the bracelet though I don't expect it will be difficult to size and should be far easier than Seiko's pin and collar system. Edit - I've now sized the bracelet, which was pretty easy with a correctly sized screwdriver (1.6mm, I think). Some of the screws came out without a problem and some needed a bit of force but other than that it was simple. You may also need a pair of pliers to get the screw out and putting the screws back in is quite fiddly, but that's inherent with the design. In all it took about 20mins and the bracelet fits very well due to the small links and the micro-adjustment on the clasp. There's only three positions but you don't need more than that. The other potential con is the weight. My very first impression was how much the bracelet weighs and with the watch head attached this is now the heaviest watch and bracelet I have. If you wear your watch loose or are used to wearing your watch on a strap the weight might be an issue. Now for the pros. First is the weight. I don't mind heavy watches or bracelets and the weight just makes this feel like a well made and high quality product. The bracelet looks great and fits very well with very little movement from the end links. There is some flex in the bracelet - which is to be expected from a "Jubilee" but nowhere near as much as the OEM bracelet. The clasp is excellent. It's a proper milled clasp and it closes with a very reassuring click. It wasn't difficult to install. The first side took a bit of persistence because of how tight the fit is so took a couple of minutes to suss out the best way to fit it, the second side went on in seconds. I paid around £60 for the bracelet - which now I have it in my hands seems very reasonable. Considering you can easily spend that and more on a Nato strap and I've spent close to £60 on rubber straps, far more design, engineering, materials and time have gone into the construction of this bracelet. Should you buy it? The SKX OEM bracelet does it's job and is very comfortable - some people adore the thing. I took mine off when I bought it and normally have it on either a Nato or rubber strap but wanted to put the watch back onto a bracelet for daily wear and to make it look slightly less casual. I have modded my SKX so upgrading the bracelet makes sense. Whilst £60 is a fair chunk of change; if you like bracelets and wear your SKX a lot - and if you've modified your SKX - then this is a very good upgrade. If you always have your watch on a bracelet and wish it was better quality then I recommend this bracelet very highly. I should also add that I was originally told the bracelet would take 6 days to arrive and it actually arrived in less than 48 hours.

The best upgrade for your SKX
My 18 year old SKX has just had a new lease of life thanks to this worthy upgrade of a bracelet from Strapcode/Miltat. The packaging is basic but very sturdy. The only extras required are a spring bar removal tool and a small screwdriver, although the screwdriver could be used for spring bar removal with a bit of skill. The first thing I noticed with this bracelet was the quality and heft. Weighing in almost twice the weight of the original Seiko branded Jubilee bracelet that came with my watch. I loved the look of the original bracelet but always hated the cheap feel of it, the rattle as I moved my wrist, and the hollow end links. Basically, the watch came with a bracelet that didn't match it in either build quality or durability. Putting it on the watch is super easy thanks to the solid end links. I had to size it to my wrists. Again, very easy and only takes a few minutes to do. Once it is on though is when you really feel the difference. This bracelet is very well made, with precision machined parts and a solid weight and feel that completely matches the aesthetics of the SKX. Plus, the added weight provides more of a weight balance with the watch body when on the wrist, resulting in less rotational and sideways movement. After 18 years my Seiko SKX finally has the bracelet it deserves.

Great Bracelet
This is an excellent bracelet. I have previously purchased strapcode/miltat steel bracelets for my other Seikos and I’ve been pleased with the quality, looks and comfort. It looks fantastic on my SKX009J and is a massive improvement over the stock rubber strap. It really elevates the look of the watch considerably and I find it extremely comfortable to wear. It was easy to fit and the end links blend seamlessly into the case. It’s also very easy to size with the screw system. Make sure you use a suitable sized precision type screw driver and take your time. Sometimes the screws need a little pressure to remove from the bracelet once unscrewed, with some small pliers/ tweezers or such like. I had to return the bracelet initially, due to the pin holding the secondary clasp becoming loose. I think it was just bad luck and could have probably been easily fixed by a jeweller, but as I had only recently purchased the bracelet, I returned it and received a brand new replacement, which is perfect with no evidence of the previous clasp problem. The only improvement to these bracelets would be that I would prefer some sort of subtle branding or motif on the clasp. It looks elegant unbranded, but I miss seeing the Seiko signing on the clasp, but I appreciate this is purely a matter of taste or preference. Overall, I’d highly recommend this bracelet and would not hesitate to purchase from stapcode/miltat again.

QUALITY!...QUALITY!...QUALITY!
This is my second strapcode/miltat bracelet. My first being the super engineer 2 whichs sits on my Seiko turtle. Tough braclet for a tough watch and so comfortable for its size! This jubilee is just as good. It has an air of quality to it. Firstly, a few little moans and niggles. The solid end link at the right side of the 6 o'clock hangs just a fraction down, not as flush as the other sides. I only notice it running my finger over the link, otherwise you can't tell. The end links now extend the length of your Seiko 007. Top to tail now sits 48mm instead of 43mm. I have 7inch wrists, so don't notice it. If you have a small wrist, you may. Now on to the good things. The finish is perfect, each centre link is polished to a high degree. The clasp is tough, it's sits in tight and I'm sure no amount of pull will break this. Links are changed by using a 1mm screwdriver. A few of the screws were in tight, but nothing a bit of elbow grease won't fix. After all, it's in tight to keep your watch firmly on your wrist! The endlinks sit flush enough against the case, no visible gap. all edging has been slightly rounded to take away all sharp edges. I just love this. It makes your watch feel like it's worth 1000s!! I will be buying another for my blue face Seiko 007!!!

A great SKX upgrade
A great upgrade to an SKX. Solid end links that line up well with the lugs and fat spring bars. Solid links with screws add a feeling of quality. It feels comfortable without the rattle of the OEM bracelet. The clasp is secure and has three micro adjustment fittings.

Its all quality here...
Plain and simply the build quality of this jubilee bracelet is far higher then the one that Seiko put on their SKX007 watches. I bought the watch after watching several video reviews on you tube, all said that the bad point of the watch was Seiko's jubilee bracelet. When this after market bracelet arrived, which it did very promptly, I removed Seiko's version and compared both side by side, Seiko's is beaton by some margin. The build quality of every single piece that make up this bracelet exceeds Seiko's, you only need to look at the 2 end components, and compare them to Seiko's to see it. And because of the superior build quality of this bracelet, its more comfortable to wear and a stronger bracelet, oh and quieter too. When I attached this bracelet to the watch it almost looks as if they're only one solid piece of stainless steel, they join up so nice. I'm very glad to have bought this bracelet, it complements the watch perfectly.

There is a reason that this Jubilee is more expensive than others!
Super quality, feels weighty, perfect fit for my SKX007J, bought as a replacement for an eBay Jubilee that I bought for £12, only had the cheap one on for 2 days!!! I knew straight away the cheap Jubilee was a mistake, This Jubilee comes with the solid end links, Fat Spring Bars with the collars for easy removal in the future, (But seriously why you would want to remove this bracelet is beyond me, with a basic watch tool kit (Spring bar removal tool and a small flat head screwdriver) can be installed, sized and on the wrist in 10min, Don’t make the mistake of buying a cheaper one, you’ll regret it, this one is worth the extra coin all day long. And having worn it all yesterday and today, I’ve yet to feel it pinch a hair.

SKX super J
These straps have a good reputation for quality. However, the strap I had a misaligned end link and therefore, the spring bar would not locate in the lug hole. I don’t want to force it and damage the watch. I am not convinced the quality control is all that great with these straps despite the number of YouTubers raving about them. I am just ready disappointed because there is no doubt the solid links and look would take my SKX to a new level.
