Works perfectly on a Benq HT2050
I bought this to replace a the bulb in my Benq HT2050 projector. Benq wants $250, 3rd party companies want about $150-200. Part of the reason for the price is that the entire bulb housing is included and makes for a quick swap. For me, replacing the bulb itself for about $90 was worth the extra time it took to remove it from the housing. This is a simple process do to - just watch a couple youtube videos before hand and save yourself $150. This replacement bulb has performed identically to the one that came with my projector including color, brightness and contrast. The bulb itself looks identical and may be from the same OEM manufacturer. I installed this bulb back in October of 2024 so it has been about 5 months. The kids use the projector every day for several hours a day. So far, so good!

Too bright, 3D comes to life
UPDATE: After 1 year, working great , flawless, still bright... recommend this... please ignore my review after 5 months, that was not the bulb.... UPDATE: After 5 month, performance is great.... small condition developed so thought to share with you. see video, photo attached , on very light screen a moving flare can be seen, like while browsing net, notepad. however no problem in watching movies yet. INTIAL REVIEW: Perfect for HT2050A. But wait... Thou 5 stars i have two comments you should know. The bulb is new and i am writing review within one month of use, so cant say how long it will last. Secondly and most important that this bulb is brighter than original one, what this means is I felt the cinema quality is not as crisp as before. Looks like original Benq bulb 250 USD would retain that quality and hence the ridiculous cost. The cost difference doesnt make sense considering the difference in quality is marginal only. Am enjoying it, specially 3D, where brightness is the most important aspect, now i see more 3D than 2D. Why 3D fans are so less and the technology is going down in earth :-( So if you watch more TV shows than movies, you will be more than happy, if you watch 3D movies you will be fascinated, if you watch mostly 2D movies, you may or may not make out little quality difference. Enjoy and go for it.

Died with less than 300 hours usage
I've had this bulb for about 15 months. It seemed like an inexpensive replacement bulb with good brightness, but it just broke with less than 300 hours of usage. They advertise 2500-4500 hours. This is 78% less than their minimum advertised time. I reached out to the company to see about help with a replacement, but since it's past their 6 month warranty, they won't do anything to help. Really disappointing bulb life.

Easy replacement seems brighter
First, let me tell you the last replacement bulb I had from another brand lasted about 4 years until it blew up, it exploded not just burned out, it made a loud pop that startled everyone. When I opened it the glass was in pieces all over the insides of the protector (thick glass too), had to remove the case and clean up the insides of all the pieces of glass, not pretty. I ordered this one as a replacement and it dropped right in, fortunately, nothing was permanently damaged and it fired right up, it seems brighter than the previous but might be because its new, left it on for a day to "burn" in and worked fine, has been working great since only time will tell how long it will last. I will update review if it fails prematurely but should last a few years and save me some cash.

You Get What You Pay For
I ordered this bulb twice. Each time it lasted less than 6 months. The last bulb actually blew up inside my projector. I wont be ordering again. For the entire duration, it wasn't as good as the OEM bulb. But, it was cheap and it was on my doorstep within 24 hours. The OEM bulb takes two weeks to arrive. I'll be preordering one.

Worked, bright but right side of screen a little dim
My Light bulb still worked but it dimmed so much, darks were to dark, so it was time. Install was somewhat easy. No tutorials anywhere but only 4 screws to remove. I struggled with light bulb till I figured it sat on housing face down, I removed it differently, confusion on my part. Turned on projector bright again colors and darks. However, on the right side of screen I noticed it was somewhat less bright. I'm not sure if it has to do with the light bulb or dust that got in the inside of the lens, there was quite a bit of dust on projector inside and out. I will open it up again air blow it out and hopefully clear any dust. Note that spot wasnt there before I removed light bulb twice re adjusted light spot still there hoping its dust on the inside lens. Update turns out housing no longer works cleaned before reinstall removed coating accidentally. Bought bulb with housing less hassle for a couple of bucks more.

Perfect for HT2050A
The bulb I received was the same identical bulb as my OEM BenQ bulb that was in my HT2050A. Thanks to a YT video install was straight forward and quite easy. I took my time and total replacement time from sitting the projector on the work bench to powering it back on was about 20 minutes. I noticed absolutely no difference in picture quality between the old and new bulbs. My OEM bulb lasted 9,676 hours according to the timer before I reset it after installing the new bulb. I will update this review if need be.

Works fine, but much less bright than original bulb
Installed and bulb worked fine, but noticeably less bright than the original bulb that came with ht2050. I ended up replacing it with a OEM bulb shortly after.
