adidas Performance Women's Barricade V Classic W Tennis Shoe

This is a great "tennis" shoe. We bought these for my daughter. She is on the high school tennis team. We usually have a hard time finding shoes for her because she has bunions. These shoes fit quite large and you should prepare and order a whole size down. She usually wears a 9 in Nike and an 8 in Adidas. We read the previous reviews and ordered a 7 1/2. We ended up having to exchange for a 7M. She loves the support and substantial base of these shoes. My daughter has nothing negative to say about these shoes!PROS- Runs 1 whole size large- Great ankle, arch, and toe support- Substantial Base- Great Stability***UPDATE...My daughter has been using these everyday for tennis practice and she absolutely loves them. She said she loved the fact her feet stay flat and stable with no rolling. She also added that the shoes provide superior traction on the court. She practices five days a week for about 2.5 hours.

First off, thanks to all those who wrote reviews for the Addias Performance Women's Barricade V Classic. I am not big on ordering shoes online, however after reading all the reviews, I was able to get the correct size. I usually wear a 8-8.5 shoe for tennis. I ordered these in a 7.5 and they fit perfectly. I play tennis 2-3 times a week and usually wear KSwiss or Nike, but these were such a good deal, I couldn't pass 'em up. I can't review how long I can wear 'em comfortably since I just received them. I'm looking forward to hitting the courts in these shoes. The white and silver is so neutral, they will go with all the different team outfits!

I just canceled and reorder because I read the reviews after placing my order. I called Amazon, 12/2015, and let them know this item specifically states "adidas performance WOMEN'S barricade V classic.... shoe. When you select your size the drop down is in men sizes!!! I read "women's" and the 11(M) as size 11 width medium! My daughter wears Nike Vapor Zoom 9.5 normally for the past few seasons but the last pair lasted 2 games and she had a blow out. The reviews on here for these are great and I hope we experience the same results. The 6 month warranty should great.We tried and the size guess didn't work out for us. returned item. The shoe was heavy and felt like a quality shoe. Wish the sizing was more clear.

Being that I am an avid Florida Gators fan and was attracted to the colors (Blue and Orange) and I love and live in Adidas products, I ordered these shoes to wear for playing some court sports, lifting weights, and all around athletics. I also wanted to display my favorite college team colors as well. I love the colors and style, but be forewarned, as mentioned in previous reviews, you MUST order at least a size smaller than your normal shoe size. I ordered a half size smaller and am now somewhat disappointed - the shoes are too large in the toe length and heel fit. Width feels fine. I will probably keep the shoes anyhow because I don't want to mess with shipping them back and waiting for a new pair. So all in all, nice shoes, but order at least full size smaller. On a side note, mostly I wear running shoes like the Adidas Ultra Boost and Energy Boost series, so I am used to a lighter shoe, with a close fit, but I would still order a size down if I had to do this again.

The most important thing to note about these shoes for women thinking of ordering them is to order a whole size smaller than you typically wear. I'm a size 8, and the size 7 fits perfectly.Now, onto the shoe itself!First, these are awesome looking shoes. Very bright. They stand out on the court. The neon orange and purple with a little bit of white is a striking mix.Fit and performance: There's plenty of room in the toebox for my toes, great arch support and high ankle support for a non-high-top shoe. I feel like my feet are very protected. They have coolmax (or something similar) and my feet haven't gotten overly hot. Since these aren't highly breathable shoes, that's pretty impressive. Because the shoe is half coated in a rubbery material, if you get nailed in the foot by a speeding tennis ball, it won't hurt your foot. The traction is excellent on indoor wood courts. I haven't tried these on the outdoor clay courts as of yet. I suspect they will be equally good on the clay.My only complaint about these shoes is the tongue, which is very thick. I really have to put some muscle into it in order to get a good, tight lacing on these shoes. The tongue also slides to one side a bit as I play, which is a pet peeve with shoes! It isn't bad, a few millimeters, but I notice it.I am a bit worried that the very cool looking hooks that the laces tie into aren't going to hold up to the force needed to keep that tongue in place. They don't look all that sturdy, however awesome they do look.Overall, I give these 5 stars. The tongue thing is not enough to detract from the positives of the shoe. Especially given how great they look!

These shoes are nice looking on their own but are HEAVY on the foot & make my feet look HUGE! They are clunky sounding when I walk. They rub around the ankle. Totally agree with other review about the thick tongue. Not happy with these shoes at all! Unfortunately, I have worn them a few times & can't return them.

As other reviewers have indicated, these shoes are big. However, i ordered my actual size and crossed my fingers. What i found to be true is the extra thick layers of support all over the outside of the shoe. This makes them look huge and feel heavy. Once I slipped my foot inside, they felt fine, slightly wide. In fact, on the court, they felt great. I play hard, land hard and want protection with quick lateral movements. If concerned about looking dainty, choose another style. This shoe satifies a serious athlete.
