World of Eric Carle, My First Library 12 Board Book Set - First Words, Alphabet, Numbers, and More! Baby Books - PI Kids

I bought this set as a Christmas gift, and even though my little one can’t read yet, these books are used every single day. They’re perfect for just looking at or playing with, and the illustrations are so vibrant that the colors really grab a baby's attention. I can already tell they’ll make learning basic words so much fun when the time comes. Honestly, they are absolutely worth the price—the quality is wonderful, especially considering how well they’ve held up to being thrown around and chewed on daily! I also love the "mini" size because they are so easy for tiny hands to grip, and the little carrying case makes them perfect for throwing in the diaper bag for some easy portability when we're out and about.

Even with shelves full of options, nothing held her attention quite like this series. She breezed through the first three books and—here’s the best part—she’s now reading just because she wants to, not because it’s her 30-minute reading time. That alone makes these books worth their weight in gold. It feels like an answered prayer to find something that excites her so much. I'm already purchasing the rest of the series and had to write this review for other parents and grandparents of young readers. If you have a picky or easily distracted reader, give these a try—you might just spark a love for reading all over again.

Who doesn't love Eric Carle? This made a great baby shower gift, but also makes a great gift for a toddler as they are very durable board books. The carrying case is ideal as well.

The books are very small which I hadn’t realized at first. I wasn’t sure about keeping them until my nephew (the 1 year old recipient) started playing with them. He LOVED the small size because they fit in his hands. As he’s gotten older, the crazy kid has become obsessed with organizing them in the box they came with. It’s so cute. Most of the books have split on the spine which is really unfortunate but we just tape them up because I think my nephew would lose it if we got rid of them haha Overall: -Very small but good for baby hands -Books and carrying box provide a lot of entertainment -Not very sturdy

Portable and Convenient: The set comes with a sturdy carrying case, which has been incredibly convenient for us. It keeps the books organized and protected, making it easy to bring them along on trips or outings. Diverse Range of Topics: I appreciate the variety of topics covered in the collection. From animals to colors and more, each book introduces my child to different themes, expanding their knowledge and vocabulary. Introduction to Eric Carle's Artistry: As a fan of Eric Carle's work myself, I love that this set features his iconic illustrations. It introduces my child to his unique artistic style and prepares them for more of his beloved works in the future. Cons: Limited Story Length: It's worth noting that the books in this collection have shorter narratives compared to traditional storybooks. While they may not have complex storylines, they are perfectly suited for young children's attention spans and provide quick, engaging reading experiences. Fragility: Since the books are made of cardboard, they can not withstand our 2 years brutal chewing :). Unrealistic images: In some case I noticed pictures are so far from reality that my son can not correlated it with real things. Packaging Concerns: Unfortunately, when my package arrived, I noticed that the corners of the book case were slightly damaged. This was likely due to inadequate packaging during shipping. While it didn't affect the functionality of the books, I would have preferred better packaging to ensure their pristine condition upon arrival. Conclusion: In my experience, the "My First Library" set has been a wonderful addition to our reading routine. The engaging illustrations and perfect size have captured my 2-year-old's attention and made reading a joyful experience for both of us. The convenience of the carrying case has allowed us to bring the books wherever we go, ensuring we always have entertainment on hand. Although the books have shorter narratives and require gentle handling, they are well-suited for young children's learning and exploration. Despite the minor packaging concern, I highly recommend this set for parents looking to foster a love of reading in their little ones.

How cute are these? The box is so nice and the little books even better. They are just the right size for my LO to handle them herself and peruse through them. They are a good addition to any toddler library. A great way for the baby to learn all these new things.
