I want to emphasize how great this pop filter is. Someone recommended a metal pop filter instead of a fabric one, as it helped cancel out more 'pp', 'kk', etc. sounds when recording. Now, there was a particular brand recommended, and their metal pop filters range from about $50 and up, and I wanted to give this one a try to see if it would be just as effective. The $50 and up one was also known for breaking not longer after use for some reason, and this one is much more affordable, so why not give it a shot? Turns out it is perfect. If you want to have a metal pop filter for your recordings, this is an excellent option. Easy to install, a solid piece you gently flex to the desired position, and looks good. Highly recommend!

Good Pop filter. Simple, easy to use, and it works well. It mounts via a clip in just the right distant and it is adjustable. It holds its postion. It is the right size. Everything about it I like. I had a Pop filter with an adjustable snake like arm and It did not hold its postion nor was it easy to mount. This one works!

This is surprisingly well built! The foam definitely works how it's intended and the clamp is stronger than I expected! The "stem" for the pop filter is a little long and I needed to cut it down to fit onto my mic+shockmount. The stem is surprisingly made from metal and the tolerance for the clamp is REALLY tight. I needed to use a metal file to get it to fit after clipping the stem deformed it slightly. The foam filter itself does slightly mask the sound (this is not surprising). As with any "hard material" pop filter (foam, metal), you can hear stronger plosives "breaking" against the pop filter, creating an audible noise. On top of this, because it does not flex like fabric, when a strong enough plosive hits the pop filter it will transfer some of the energy into the microphone body (since that is where it clamps onto). Both of these can be picked up and potentially affect the recording. This is not inherently terrible and really comes down to "Ease of Use" and "Acceptable Reduction." No pop filter is "perfect," so rather than looking for something that totally removes plosives, you should instead look for a material that affects the sound in a way that you are okay with or can compensate for. Overall? This is a solid pop filter option and should absolutely work! If you have especially plosive breath, the physical sound of the air against the foam COULD still be picked up. And if it is forceful enough, the sound could be transferred into the microphone body akin to tapping on the mic.

Great product at significantly cheaper price

Inexpensive Pop Stopper. Much more effective than the nylon and metal mesh types while being more acoustically transparent. Here are some pics. The filter is that same 7/8" thick biofilter used on the expensive Name Brand and the inexpensive clones. Stem is adjustable for height and the base for distance to the mic. The clamp can accommodate side-address bodies from 1"–3". You can see it on my Neumann TLM-193 and one of my FET47 clones. The clamp doesn't quite clear the yoke of the 47 but a file or sanding block can fix that in short order as it's plenty thick enough. 7'8" biofilter stops any 'plosives I can hurl at it. For end-address mics, the stem needs to be bent 90° and I'm not going to do that. Yes! I'll be ordering more. Highly recommended!

The clip does not fit snug on multiple mics. Not enough tension.

Very nice quality

So good, I instantly bought a second one. These sponge filters are obviously trying to emulate the much more expensive Hakan P110, and they've done it brilliantly. It's the best-sounding pop filter I own, and at a fraction of the cost of the real thing. Very impressive Build quality feels solid. It's not flimsy, and the springs in the mounting claw are nice and strong. If you own a small mic, or have a very large shock mount, there's a chance you'll struggle a little to get it to mount properly, but even on my most inconenient mic (NT1-a with it's giant shock mount), it still worked and was adjustable to fit fine I'm shocked this is as cheap as it is. Really great stuff!

It is not round shape not a nice as the 70s one were

I’m a complete novice to vocal quality, however I have my first major outside event wedding in august and I became aware when practicing that my microphone technique was very breathy. This bit of kit has greatly improved my confidence, my sound quality and my microphone quality - well worth the money

I didn’t know that metal pop filters existed. I’m using a dynamic mic that already has quite a full tone for vocals and I didn’t want to darken it. I googled metal pop filter and saw some with what appeared to be finer mesh than this one, but I thought I’d take a punt on it and I could return it if needed. Very surprised at how good it is - it definitely has a considerable effect on plosives (tested it on and off), very happy with this! Got it on offer which is even better.

Fantastic pop filter. I've just finished a couple of days worth of voice over recording and it filters pops great, without compromising the tone of the vocal. The clip can be a bit awkward depending on the shock mount, but it doesn't take much to make space. I'd love to see a MK2 different connection types.
