Honestly, this item is a lot better than I was expecting. I ordered the amethyst drop in the gold setting. To be clear, it is not made from a solid piece of amethyst. It is amethyst pieces in a clear resin spiral. It has a decent bit of weight to it and the deep purple & rich gold colours are very eye-catching, in that Christmas ornament sort of way. The chain hangs straight, and swings and circles effectively. The chain can also be unclipped and the pendulum worn as a pendant, it you wanted. It comes in a roomy, black velvet drawstring bag for storage.
