Replacement Lenses for Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer RW4008 (53MM) Sunglasses

Was hesitant at first from reading the bad reviews, but the pair I got is perfect, perfect fit. Transition not as dark, but neither do the ray bans transition as dark (ice had both). I like the fact that clear has a slight tint to it.

Has a little bit of tint. Whether in the sun or indoors. Never changes. So they are no longer effective sunglasses.

Lenses are always slightly tinted and never go fully clear indoors, so the indoor look is only slightly better than wearing sunglasses indoors. In comparison, my son has Ray Ban transitions and they are so much better. Clear indoors and tinted outside.

wonderful lenses that transition perfectly when i need them so i can wear the meta glasses at my desk and outside. They may have blue light blocking as well as I have less strain on my eyes when I wear at my computer. Big fan and definitly recommend

Not great. Lenses fit well in the Large meta Rayban wayfarers (4008 model) and they were easy to put them in. Comes with a nice case and glasses bag. Unfortunately the lenses do not transition well at all. It takes very extreme direct bright sunlight to see much change at all. Even then they take about 10min to darken and another 10min to transition back once inside. They are also not totally clear when inside. So they are difficult to use. I see why some say they don’t transition at all, as it only works in very very bright sunlight. They also don’t transition when in a car. The car glass blocks UV so they don’t change) I removed them and went back to the stock Ray Ban lenses.

Photochromic are a perfect fit and high quality. Watching youtube videos, I thought the process would be quite easy. It was not. I used a hairdryer and spent considerable time trying to get them installed. I was fearful of cracking the lenses and the frames. Success came at last with great relief. The lenses are expensive but are excellent quality and unlike many photochromic lenses, these actually darken quite well. This is an honest review I was not asked to write and I paid full price.

I replaced the Dark Gradient lenses (the XLarge frames are hard to come by - and the Transitions XL are Sold Out) and I can now wear them Everywhere. To remove the originals, press out from the bottom of the frame. Installation is deliberate, and it should be. They are perfect for catching candid moments and wearing the META glasses all day - Great investment. I added the "Shooter Yellow" lenses to my purchase, and they are also Excellent. The increased clarity of the Yellow lenses is immediately noticeable to the wearer - take your pick.
