Unicorn SPiT 5770012 Gel Stain & Glaze, Rustic Reality, 4 Ounce Bottle

Love the color!! I’m looking for a good medium to use it on. I bought it to try out on concrete countertops. But could not get coordinating colors to go with it. I did apply some of the aqua/teal. It smelled great, so much better than the acid stains. Applied easily I used a small paint brush no problems. It went on really dull but once it was sealed it brightened up a lot. So far it has held up well no fading. A little goes a long way. I had to pour some of it back in the bottle. Well worth the price. I want the whole line of colors to try on different mediums. I want to try it out in the airbrush next time. I just have to find something to stain with it.

This stain worked REALLY well for my daughter's woodworking project. She wanted a pink stain so that the wood grain would show through, and the pink stains available in local stores were either too pale or else didn't work well with the wood, leaving the grain yellow/peach instead of pink. We heard about this product and took a chance on it, and it turned out BEAUTIFULLY! We used an oil-based wood conditioner, then this product, and then finished with an oil-based spar urethane finish. (spar instead of poly because it doesn't turn amber color with age) The "Unicorn Spit" product smelled like flowers which was nice, but since we used the other two normal products for the wood conditioner and clear coat finish, we still had to worry about adequate ventilation. Her project looks great, and you can still see the wood grain beneath. Color: Pixie Punk Pink

Unicorn Spit is amazing stuff. It's mainly used to stain wood in vibrant colors. But it's a highly concentrated pigment that can be used for so much more than wood stain depending on if you dilute it with water or alcohol. It can also be poured in a dollop and leave to dry out for a traditional watercolor cake! Alcohol inks, washes, paint pigment. The skies the limit considering all the surfaces it's compatible with!

I use this stuff for crafting. It's expensive but can be mixed with water. A bottle goes a long ways.

This stain is more of a baby blue than a true turquoise, which is disappointing but it's not a bad look necessarily. Very opaque and blends nicely with other colors of this brand of stain.

I challenged myself to use stains only on a woodworking project. It was for a little girl, so I needed pink. Using the pink gel and Gorilla tape ,I was able to lay down smooth lines. Excellent color and seems to be durable.

Great stain. It has the same strengths and weaknesses as other water based stains, relative to oil-based stains. Compared to oil based stains it will not penetrate as deeply. However, you also get the benefits of zero odor or fumes making this great for indoor craft work. A lot of people don't know this but Rit fabric dye can ALSO be used as a water-based wood stain. Seriously. And it is a fraction of the cost of Unicorn Spit. However, the Unicorn Spit is a little more vibrant/saturated. So decide if the price difference is worth it for you.

If pigmentation is your concern, look no further!! This stuff is amazing! The color is so vibrant it almost looks like paint. A little goes a long way!!

This white unicorn spit is very strong, it compliments the other colours I have, very happy with my purchase.

Caro y muy pequeño

Haven’t got round to using this product yet but I have tested it a little and it looks beautiful and smells divine! Because these are quite expensive I’m having to build up my collection bottle by bottle every couple of weeks! It’s gonna take me a while! Can’t wait to start a project with them! 😀
