Oc: The Complete Series Collection [DVD] [Import]

Well, i got this a day ago, and i love the series since it got out on the tv. I get stuck on the series since the first episode. I liked the actors, the storys, the music, the need to see more and more.. And one day it all ends. If i have to name just one serie like the best, with no doubts ill say that it's The O.C. .. About this box, is kinda awesome, every each episode from the 4 seasons, and a lot of special features. Well i have a little collection of Dvd movies, but this was my best choose. If you are a lover of "The O.C." so this boxset is for you. Regards, Miguel K.

I watched The OC when it was on TV but missed the last season so bought the complete set, a great buy, perfect for a Sunday afternoon or a rainy day. Easy to watch, if your a fan of Gossip Girl, Dawson's Creek and other teenage series you'd love this, lots of totty, tears, fights, and every day drama. Really easy to watch but easy to get carried away and watch one too many in one go. Full of good - looking boys and girls with easy life styles that always seem to get into trouble. Really good watch!

Amazing boxset for an amazing series. This has everything you would ever want to watch and hear about The O.C., with a beautiful presentation. It could have better video quality and more extras, but overall it has fantastic value for the amount of money I paid. If you're a fan you must have this, and if you never watched it, I definitely recomend it.

This is the perfect boxset - do not hesitate to buy this as you will not be disappointed. The box itself is amazing and the layout of the discs, summaries and photos is fab and i am soooo happy with this item. I would recommend this to any fan of The OC!!! It has a total of 28 discs with 4 discs just for special features. This is the best boxset i have ever bought and i can't get enough of it :)

A beautifully created boxset that fits the look & feel of the show, all the episodes, all the drama's & all the beautiful people. One of the best US t.v programme's to have been comitted to camera. fantastic soundtrack together with interesting storylines which compliment each other. It's an essential purchase for my dvd library.

I like the show but there are extras missing compared to the Region 1 Version (contrary to what some people write in their reviews). Particularly the Season 3 and 4 Bloopers/ Gag Reels which can be found on youtube (which are normally the best extras you get with DVDs!). Also Season 1 is in 4:3, it looks ok on a laptop but it might look wierd on some TVs. Other than these things it has everything the Region 1 Version has so I'm happy with my purchase! The OC is not your usual teen drama it has actual developed characters in it, as well as great storylines, sarcastic humour and an exciting pace! The packaging for this box set is really cool (although quite large so make sure you have storage space) and is worth every penny.

This box is probably one of the nicest complete seasons boxes ever.It has a neat design and inside you have appart from 28 discs, nice pictures. interviews and overviews of each season and episode. the Show might be over - sadly - but this Box might make it unforgettable. A must for fans....

シーズン1が一番良いけど、最終回が泣ける。

Ich möchte folgendes behaupten: Ich bin der größte OC-Fan, den es gibt! Und zwar von der ersten Stunde an. Ich liebe diese Serie, seitdem ich sie 2004 das erste Mal sah, als die Erstausstrahlung Mittwoch abends auf Prosieben lief. Ich kenne die Story und Dialoge in und auswendig. Wenn irgendwo ein Musiktitel aus dem Soundtrack von OC läuft, kann ich den Song sofort der Staffel, Folge und Szene zuordnen. ;-) Diese Serie hat mich durch gute und schlechte Zeiten begleitet und ich war ihr einfach immer ganz nah, da ich damals, als sie zu laufen anfing, genauso alt war wie Marissa und Co.! Daher habe ich natürlich seit den jeweiligen Veröffentlichungen die einzelnen Staffeln auf DVD. Nach zig millionen Malen anschauen, sehen diese Boxen mittlerweile dementsprechend aus. :-D Ich warte schon seit längerer Zeit sehnsüchtig auf die Ankündigung einer Blu-ray Veröffentlichung dieser spitzen Serie. Jedoch gibt es dazu derzeit leider noch keine konkreten Infos... Ich würde mich auch mit OC so gern einmal weiterentwickeln, denn einige Serien besitze ich mittlerweile schon auf Blu-ray. Jedenfalls fiel ich die vergangenen Jahren immer mal wieder über diese schicke Sammler-Komplett-Box in Buchform. Auch wenn ich es heute nicht mehr nachvollziehen kann, dachte ich immer wieder: "Ich hab ja bereits alle Staffeln auf DVD, was will ich mit einer Neuanschaffung, die ja auch nur die DVDs bietet. Die Verpackung und Aufmachung sind zwar hübsch gemacht, aber wäre das nicht Geldverschwendung?" Doch aus heiterem Himmel packte mich vor wenigen Wochen wieder das OC-Fieber. Ich beschloss zum gefühlt 1.000.001. Mal wieder mit der Serie zu beginnen. Doch irgendwie stieß ich dann auch wieder auf diese Buch-Box und diese ließ mich plötzlich doch nicht mehr los. Da sie ja schon seit 2007 auf dem Markt war und mittlerweile auch schon wieder von Markt genommen wurde, musste ich also etwas tiefer in die Tasche greifen, aber das war es mir jetzt doch wert. Da wie gesagt auch nach 10 Jahren, seit denen es die Serie nun gibt, noch kein Blu-ray Release in Sicht ist. Also recherchierte ich ausgiebig im Internet, wo ich diese Box am günstigsten bekommen könnte. Neu hätte ich sie natürlich am liebsten gehabt. Nur wollte ich dann doch keine 170,00 Euro dafür ausgeben... ;-) Doch nach 2-wöchiger Recherche und immer wieder Vergleichens von Gebrauchtpreisen stieß ich eines schönen Tages ganz plötzlich und unerwartet bei Amazon Warehousedeals auf ein Angebot "wie neu" für gut 68,00 Euro, was mich sofort zum Kauf bewegte, da es das einzige Exemplar in diesem Zustand zu dem Preis war und sogar das derzeit günstigste auf Amazon.de (und sie war sogar noch eingeschweißt!!!). Zum Release damals hat sie auch um den Dreh, wenn nicht noch mehr gekostet, richtig? Jedenfalls nenne auch ich endlich diese wunderschöne perfekte Buch-Box mein Eigen - und ich kann es immer noch nicht verstehen, warum ich dafür verdammt nochmal sooo dermaßen lange gebraucht habe! :-D Nachdem ich sie in meinen Händen hielt und ausgiebig "studiert" habe, ist mir rätselhaft wie ich doch als weltgrößter OC-Fan jahrelang ohne dieses Prachtstück auskommen konnte!? Die Box bietet einfach alles, was das Sammler- und Serienfanherz begehrt. Viele, viele tolle Fotos, Hintergrundinfos, Medienmeinungen zum Erfolg der Serie, einen Episodenguide zu allen Folgen und das einfach in einer wahnsinnig stimmigen, schicken Aufmachung. Ich rate jedem Fan, der gegenüber dieser Box noch Skeptiker ist, und zwar auch schon alle Staffeln einzeln hat, sich diese schöne Collector's Edition doch mal genauer anzusehen und dann auch anzuschaffen. Es lohnt sich die Gebrauchtpreise im Auge zu behalten. Man kann da teils noch ganz gute Schnäppchen machen. Der zugehörige Acryl-Schuber lässt das Ganze nochmal ganz besonders durchdacht wirken. So einen Hartplastikschuber habe ich noch bei keiner anderen Box gesehen - und ich befasse mich viel damit und habe auch viele selbst in meiner Sammlung. Durch diesen Schuber ist das Buch wirklich gut vor Staub und Stößen geschützt und dadurch steht es auch sehr stabil im Regal. Viele bemängeln die Aufbewahrung der einzelnen Discs in Papptaschen. Ich muss sagen, dass ich das nicht so schlimm finde. Optisch ist das hier super gelöst und passt sich einfach perfekt dem Layout des Buches an. Und wenn man vorsichtig mit den Discs umgeht, passiert ihnen auch kaum etwas. Meine in den einzelnen Staffelboxen, mit der "normalen" Disc-Halterung aus Plastik sehen tausend Mal schlimmer aus, weil ich sie einfach schon sooo oft heraus und wieder herein gedrückt habe! Also können auch bei der in vielen Augen "besseren" Aufbewahrung Kratzer entstehen und zwar ganz und gar nicht weniger. Ich bin super happy, aber auch immer noch geschockt von mir selbst, dass ich nicht schon viel früher das Bedürfnis hatte, diese Box in meine große Film- und Seriensammlung aufzunehmen. Auch wenn ich die Serie nun komplett doppelt besitze. Diese Buch-Box stellt die einzelnen, abgegrabbelten Staffeln wirklich in den Schatten.

This is the perfect thing to get if your a fan of the show and don't wanna take up all of that room on your dvd shelf with the box set...as that was the only thing keeping me from getting it. Now usually these seasons cost around $30 (yes, even 3-7 years later). So me getting all 4 of them used for $55 was a steal. I saved over half off of retail. I just got hooked on The OC about a month ago, I know I'm a little late to the party...but I'm near finished with season 1 and already so much has happened, I can't wait to see what the rest of the series has in store for me! The only complaint I have about the actual description is that it says it is widescreen, but when I popped in disc 5 (as that's what episode I was already on when I received my order), I noticed that it wasn't in widescreen...but in fact in regular 4:3 aspect ratio. I'm not sure if this is because I bought them used from a different seller than who I would have got it from if I ordered the same set as "new". Other than that I have no complaints, and am extremely pleased with my order...especially the fact that none of the discs have scratches on them and the disc case and slipcover have no damage to them. So once again, for anyone look for just the bare essentials to get you through The OC, this is definitely the way to go.
