Vaultz Locking Makeup Case, The Weekender, Black and White Stripe (VZ03758)

I was getting sick of finding that my feminine products supply was running low because other people at work were taking from my bag - but I also didn't want to have to carry a bag with me to the bathroom every time I need to go while on my period. I decided to buy two of these so that I could store one in each of our work bathrooms (so that I don't have to wait for the "specific bathroom" that has all my supplies - now both do!).Each bag has enough room for storage for every feminine product possible - I fit 4 extra thick pads, a dozen tampons, about 20 liners and at least a dozen "slim" pads. It's pretty full, but there is still more room to spare - I just preferred to not have it bulging, for easier zip/close. And that's what fits in just ONE bag! Soooo looking forward to keeping my supply stocked longer, with no one else taking from my bags anymore! Thanks, Vaultz!

Originally I left a bad review about it not locking, but I realized soon after that I just wasn't turning the key far enough because I thought the resistance I was meeting was the end of the lock turn.After trying a few times I realize now it was my error in assuming the item was faulty and I am now correcting my review to rate it properly.The Case is sturdy with a decent lock on it. I do wish it was a slightly different design as the lock although it does in fact lock it seems weak and anyone with any time on their hands could easily snap it probably with just a butter knife. Which I hope doesn't happen as I bought this item specifically to protect my make up from the greedy grubby hands of my own family since I had high end make up stolen from my current non locking case.I do recommend this item for light protection of products and belongings but nothing more than that.Cute design is definitely a selling feature.

I bought this for travelling, mainly for my iPod, phone and the accessories. The pockets inside keep everything safe from scratches, with some extra cushioning if the case falls.I had the unfortunate experience of having my Sony mp3 player stolen by an aide during an overnight hospital stay, who said it went down with the laundry by mistake. When she knew she was "busted," it showed back up. Long story short, from now on I'll be keeping electronics locked inside the case except for what I'm using, and the case locked inside my bag when leaving the room or sleeping. Granted, the case is easy to steal and anyone can cut through the fabric, but it's just an extra measure of security.The rose pattern is so pretty, and it really looks like a makeup case. It would work beautifully for makeup -- lots of room.

It really depends on why you are buying this item on whether or not you will like it. If you are looking for a very sturdy case with a secure lock, then this is NOT for you. If you want something this size, in a cute color that is portable and water-resistant with a little bit of an extra deterrent to open it, then you will probably like this product.I really wanted the lock to be better, but sadly it really is not. It does work, but it is awkward and flimsy and would be VERY easy to break and open. If you just want to give the illusion that you don't want someone to open it, then they will get the message.As far as the bag/container itself, it is very cute and a nice size. Sadly the zipper is not of the best quality, but for the time being it works. The material is synthetic so if something liquid spills on it, you can wipe it off.I am going to keep this because for my needs it will work, however I feel that it is very over-priced for what you get.

I’m really liking this case.I got the “every day” case. I’d like if it had some more pockets, but the snap-in makeup cases are more handy than I expected. It’s easy to just remove one of the bags and then close and secure the case again if you want. The slots for storing makeup brushes are handy, too.It was easy to set my own security code, and it’s pretty easy to lock and unlock. This isn’t a high-security solution, since someone could cut the case open if they wanted to, but it IS a great solution if you want to ensure some privacy or make it impossible for someone to be stealthy about stealing small items. Example: if you have roommates or family members who might want to sneak some of your medication, storing it locked in this case would make it impossible for them to do so without leaving obvious evidence of the theft.

I do not usually write reviews, but this is an exception for me. I bought the locking makeup bag to secure my medications & had planned to purchase a second for my makeup if I really liked the bag. I will NOT be purchasing a second bag. The locking mechanism did not move freely right from the beginning. The lock does not retract all the way back into itself to allow for easy function. Then once I had programmed my combination into the lock; It would not function at all. I repeatedly tried to get the locking mechanism to work & it would not. It bent instead & is now useless for locked storage. I need to add here that I did not forget my combination as there is a warning there is no "fix" for forgotten combinations. Also, in the directions, the picture representing the lock was not a correct representation of the lock I received. The lock in general was cheap in its construction. I had planned other purchases but I doubt that I will even try their keyed locks now. After reading other reviews it looks like there is either a major design flaw or very poor quality control with their locks. That is too bad as the bag itself is attractive & SEEMS decently made.
