Let's hope they keep this price! - I love the ingredients: Whey Concentrate, Whey Isolate, Whey Hydrolysate and Milk Concentrate - these do the heavy lifting and are a higher quality than other proteins here which only contain Whey Concentrate. Also, I prefer this sweetener (Sucralose) rather than Stevia. When dry, this powder is very "airy". Handle with care to avoid mess! Mixing in a shaker is not trivial, I still need to figure out the best technique - because this does create sticky lumps that I need to finish off with a fork before drinking. The shake is very thick too. My usual protein would still be pretty much like water even with 70 grams to 300ml... This one, I had to add another 100ml just to get it really going in the shaker... Probably 70 grams (4 leveled scoops) to 500ml or even 600ml would still produce a satisfying creamy drink! Tastes more milky than my usual shake and the vanilla is more "bright" - typical American style, if you know... Not a deep flavor - but I DO like the flavor very much! Just by running the math for Protein-per-GBP (28 grams per GBP), this is the current king but I'd keep track of the price to make sure it doesn't creep up. I love that the jar is clear so I can use it for storage (see what's inside) when I've finished the protein. Review: Good stuff - I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks now, I got on to the brand after trying their diet whey when it was on offer at Morrisons and was completely fine but I wanted to drop the diet additions - i just don’t see the point. And here I am. I actually like this one, I prefer to Optimum Nutrition and LA Whey, which are the only other ones I’ve tried. I usually mix this with water in a bowl of museli and blueberries and I fond that it mixes very easily with regular stirring and it ends up having a nice, almost creamy texture. The vanilla flavour is nice and just right in terms of strength. I’m happy with this and have no complaints. I look forward to my post-training breakfast now… ## Features - 24G PROTEIN PER SERVING - Each shake delivers 24g of high-quality protein to support muscle growth and maintenance as part of a balanced diet and active lifestyle. - ADVANCED WHEY BLEND - A fast absorbing formula made with whey protein concentrate, isolate, and hydrolysed whey for both rapid and sustained release protein. - SUPPORTS RECOVERY & DAILY NUTRITION - Ideal after training, between meals or throughout the day to help meet your daily protein needs and support your fitness goals. - INFORMED PROTEIN TESTED - Independently tested to verify the protein content on the label and help confirm there is no misleading nitrogen-based protein “spiking”. - SELECTED FLAVOURS INFORMED SPORT CERTIFIED - Strawberry Milkshake, Chocolate Milkshake and Vanilla Ice Cream are batch-tested for substances prohibited in sport. - RICH IN BCAAs & GLUTAMINE - Naturally contains essential amino acids, including BCAAs and glutamine, to support training, recovery and everyday performance. - QUALITY MANUFACTURING STANDARDS - Produced in facilities operating to recognised quality and food safety standards, including GMP, ISO 22000 and BRC AA* certification. - HALAL CERTIFIED - Manufactured in a Halal certified facility, making Critical Whey suitable for a wider range of dietary requirements. - LOW SUGAR & GREAT TASTE - A delicious, low-sugar protein powder available in a wide range of smooth, easy-mixing flavours. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0CN71S45F | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Allergen Information | Contains: Milk, Soy | | Benefits | Weight Gain | | Best Sellers Rank | 343 in Health & Personal Care ( See Top 100 in Health & Personal Care ) 7 in Whey Nutrition Protein | | Brand | Applied Nutrition | | Brand Name | Applied Nutrition | | Caffeine Content Description | Caffeine Free | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 426 Reviews | | Diet Type | Gluten Free | | Diet type | Gluten Free | | Flavour | Vanilla Ice Cream | | Global Trade Identification Number | 05056555204719 | | Item Dimensions | 14 x 14 x 24 centimetres | | Item Highlight | 24g Protein per Serving, High Protein Powder, Protein Shake with BCAAs & Glutamine (2Kg - 61 Servings) | | Item Weight | 2 Kilograms | | Item weight | 2 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Applied Nutrition | | Manufacturer Contact Information | UK: Applied Nutrition, Trio, Acornfield Road, Knowsley, L33 7UG United Kingdom | EU: Applied Nutrition, Unit 85447, PO Box 1213, Belfast, BT1 9JY | | Manufacturer Part Number | APP036 | | Model Name | Critical Whey (2000g) Vanilla Ice Cream | | Model Number | APP036 | | Net Content Volume | 9.57 Litres | | Number of Items | 1 | | Product benefits | Weight Gain | | Protein | 12 g | | Protein Source | Whey | | Recommended Uses For Product | Post-Workout | | Servings per container | 61.0 | | Total Servings Per Container | 61.0 | | Unit Count | 2000.0 gram | | Vitamins And Minerals | 0.5 milligrams | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Applied Nutrition - **Diet type:** Gluten Free - **Flavour:** Vanilla Ice Cream - **Item weight:** 2 Kilograms - **Number of items:** 1 - **Product benefits:** Weight Gain - **Protein source:** Whey - **Recommended uses for product:** Post-Workout - **Servings per container:** 61.0 - **Unit count:** 2000.0 gram ## Images ![– Applied Nutrition Critical Whey Protein Powder - Vanilla Ice Cream - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71XOI5iWQNL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Flavor** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What makes Critical Whey different?** A: Triple blend of whey concentrate, isolate & hydrolysed whey for fast absorption, 24 g protein with BCAAs, and independently tested for banned substances and protein quality. **Q: How much protein do I get per serving?** A: 24 g of high-quality protein from whey concentrate, isolate and hydrolysed whey, rich in naturally occurring BCAAs to support muscle growth and recovery with training. **Q: Is Critical Whey tested and certified?** A: Selected flavours are Informed Sport certified and tested for banned substances; all flavours are Informed Protein verified for real protein content and label accuracy. **Q: Is it suitable for my diet?** A: Critical Whey is gluten free, soy free and vegetarian friendly, made from grass-fed dairy whey. I mix 2 scoops as an intra alongside 75 grams of glucose with no problem. 👌🏾👌🏾 ## Frequently Bought Together - Applied Nutrition Critical Whey Protein Powder 2kg - High Protein Powder, Protein Milkshake, Muscle Building Supplement with BCAAs & Glutamine (2kg - 67 Servings) (Vanilla Ice Cream) - Omega 3 Fish Oil 2000mg, EPA 660mg DHA 440mg per Daily Serving. 120 Capsules (2 Months Supply).
