Great energy boost
Tried the apple flavour for 1st time today whilst doing half marathon distance. Ate 1/3 of a bar at 10k, another 1/3 at 14k and the last at 18k and it definitely seemed to provide an energy boost later in the run. Tasted nice and sweet, very palatable and no problems with my stomach. Highly recommended, as is the seller I used (official OTE).

Sugary jelly chew
I ordered these OTE Energy Chews primarily for my cycling sessions. The first thing I noticed was the resemblance in texture and taste to those concentrated jelly bars. Yep, that's right. If you've ever had one of those, you'll know exactly what I'm on about. Now, onto the taste. They've got a decent strawberry flavour. It's not too overpowering but hits the right notes when you're gasping for something to chew on in the midst of a gruelling session. However, the price is a touchy subject for me. At £2 a pop, I felt it was a bit steep for what I got. Especially when you consider the size of these bars. Don't get me wrong, they do the job in keeping the hunger pangs at bay, and after popping one, I didn't feel like munching on anything else. 🍓 Pros: 💪 Provides a quick energy boost 🌱 Vegan and gluten-free 😋 Tasty strawberry flavour 🍓 Cons: 💷 Pretty pricey at £2 per bar 🍬 High sugar content 📏 Smaller than expected To wrap it up, if you can snag these on a deal, they're worth a try. They might not be everyone's cup of tea due to the sugar content and the price, but for a quick energy surge during intense activities, and if you can get them on an offer then they're a decent pick.

A part of a great on bike nutrition plan
Really good, personally these are great when used with the OTE Oat bars. I do a number of plus 7 hour cycling events and OTE products have always been great.

Taste really nice.
These energy bars do taste really nice. They are a jelly texture or giant gummy bar. They are great for sports and other activities to help keep you going. A good alternative to energy drinks. However they are not cheap. They work out at £2 a bar which I personally wouldn’t pay for an energy bar. Most energy drinks are cheaper than these so I think the price could put some people off. It is a shame as they are really nice.

Expensive and not as easy to take as isogels (for swimmers)
I'm always on the lookout for something different to fuel longer swims. A favourite of a friend is Fry's Turkish Delight bars - not sure about the balance of electrolytes etc, but definitely good for energy! So when I saw these I thought I would give them a go. First thoughts were that I wasn't expecting something so much like the jelly squares I had when I was a kid! The flavour is grand, but I'm not sure these will do it for me when I'm swimming—they just take too much effort to take in compared with gels. I will use them before events, or longer swims to stick a bit of energy into the system. I think for now I'm happier to stick with a more liquid form of gels.
