I have been having problems using my usb dac with my Samsung phone since it updated to Android 15 One UI 7. For some reason the volume to my headphones would drop dramatically for no reason, and there would be odd squawking noises in the music. I saw this adaptor advertised as HiRes compatable at a very low price. I was so fed up with the issues I was having I decided to buy one. I can say that all my problems have disappeared now. All types of music files play faultlessly. And the sound quality is absolutely outstanding. In fact I can't get over how brilliant the sound is from such a compact adaptor. It drives my very high impedance Sennheiser headphone to high volumes with no problems. No going back to comparatively large DAC's for me, it's been a revelation.

I bought this to use with a pair of fiio ft1 headphones with my phone and ipad (samsung s24+ and ipad air 4th gen) and it works fine with both, and personally the sound quality seems comparable to being wired in directly to other devices, without any loss or distortion etc (though I'm not an audiophile and everyone's ears are different, so ymmv). The adapter itself seems well made of sturdier plastic and metal than some others on the market, so I would say it's worth the slightly higher price point compared to the one without the hifi audio. Would recommend.

One of the highest res DAC adaptors. Functions very well with mobile phones. Cable appears well-insulated.

Really good Hi Res adapter. I've used it both on my mobile phone and my chrome book with no issues at all, music is crystal clear with a solid connection. I use it to stream Hi Res Flac files on the streaming service Tidal, which sounds absolutely amazing. Remember to use a good quality pair of headphones to connect to the adapter, failure to do so is like owning a SuperCar and putting water in the tank and expecting to win a race, not going to happen. It sounds fantastic, I can whole heartedly recommend. It may be twice the price of other adapters on Amazon, but like they say, you get what you pay for!

Works very well and provides clear and consistant quality sound to an amplifier or powered speaker. Recommended. Amendment: Some reviews indicated that this adapter stopped working, after a period of use, possibly due to the cable flexing repeatedly. As a precaution I put some black shrink tubing the length of the cable including a bit of each plug and socket. Then I put some larger red shrink tube overlapping the black tubing and the plug and socket. This has the effect of making the cable section bend in an arc from the middle, rather than sharply at the ends. Hope this helps.

Guys, I'm a maniacal fan of UGREEN so I'm more than a tad biased with their consistent intelligence, quality etc. But, no-one's perfect, let's be honest. Whilst this DAC does increase the sound volume and, in some real ways, "adds" to the sound experience, if I must be brutally honest, even given the cheap cost, it's not really worth wasting your time with this DAC and others of the same price level. Rather spend appreciably more and invest in a proper in-line DAC that significantly improves your sound quality / volume / etc. Simply not worth the effort with this cheapie.

Great little thing. The built-in DAC really does elevate the sound quality when trying to play something from your phone. I have an S24 ultrea and I normally play music over bluetooth/LDAC into a Shanling Q1 through which I listen with a pair of 7Hz Divine earphones. This is because a normal adapter really doesn't sound good for me. This one brings it close if not better to my setup with LDAC. It really elevated my experience. For this price point, it's a no brainer and a steal for me.

Got it to use my favourite IEMs with my Fairphone 5. Build quality looks good so durability shouldn't be a problem and it's the same colour as my headphones cable. I leave is permanently attached toy headphones.

Good sound and value for the price. Be even better with higher volume output but enough to hook a phone to an amp

Works and sounds OK but connector feels noticeably warm from DAC chip power use. Wish it was a bit more energy efficient to extend phones battery time.

Very interesting product and worked amazingly. Used my headphones (analogue 3.5mm) jack directly on an older iPad Pro. Now, I bought this to use on new iPad with USB C. Same headphones but sound quality has improved with clarity and dynamic range. Couldn’t believe the difference especially when I tried it for the first time. I have not tried the standard version so I cannot comment on the differences. However, this adapter (with its own DAC I assume) made my headphones come alive.

Has been an excellent product so far... had it for a while now and its been flawless. I had a few cheaper versions and some counter top "in a pinch" purchases. They all work but I ALWAYS had to have my volume maxed out to get results out of them... the electronics in this one is superior in every way. Clear, clean signal with no loss in output... always have lots of volume and clean output with this adaptor. Very happy with it and its still very affordable for how well it works for my needs. I need a wired connection for my work in corporate events as a hard wired connection to a sound system is a must.

Great Audio Output quality. Recommended if you have Hi-Res Over ear headphones.
