Excellent nostalgia gift

The original purchase was a fail but I still had the tank so I got these and was very disappointed they didn't hatch by 7 days and I did distilled water I made sure temp was good the salt ratio was good so on day 10 I went to go dump them out n I was like what is that? I saw little tiny TINT SPECKS floating around n I'll be damned they hatched!!!!I was so excited!!! Now they are a month n a week old n doing great thriving n making babies!!!! As a girl growing up with sea monkey as pets all the time I can say buy these all bad comments on here are from people who probably did NOT follow directions properly.

Well I bought this for my daughter who was super excited and the sea monkeys never hatched! So I thought we had duds so I got it again and the 2nd set never hatched! Wasted money!

They're sea monkeys, how could you go wrong?

My sea monkees were delivered on February 17, 2020. Today is May 15, 2020 and I still have 6 alive. So those folks that had less than my *3 months* may not have followed one or both of these important rules: 1) temperature mus be in the range specified in instructions, and 2) (here's the 1st Hint): use the measuring tool for the food correctly. These little fellas don't need much to eat, and you have to look closely on the plastic measuring tool to see that one end is a handle and the other end is a really tiny cup. Use that! Hint #2: to get them to last longer, just use half of everything. half the water, half the sea monkey "eggs", half he water prep, etc. Then when your 1st "batch" moves on to the Great Sea in the Sky, create a second generation with the other half. Again, this method elongates the period you, your kids, etc will enjoy them!

First batch of sea monkeys only lived for a short while - had to order another pack of eggs from the (very difficult to contact) seller (Transcience LLC). Learned that the water needs air - I added air by using a turkey baster (ideally daily) - bubble water for about a minute or so. My son loves the little guys... happy with my purchase.

My girls came across some old package of sea monkeys that my mom had for years. They were interested in them and super excited so I told them let's find the sea monkey tank. Found these and said what the heck. So I read reviews and bought them. They are lots smaller then the original sea monkey tank but still great. They came in a plain cardboard box and inside were 2 pink tanks. Wish I could have picked the colors considering it would help to tell them apart. We have had them for a week now and their sea monkeys have hatched and have been fed once. They are growing nicely. The girls love them. I would buy this again but hopefully with the option to actually pick a color. There are tons of little sea monkeys. One of my daughters water turned a light yellow after dumping the eggs in but it kinda cleared up.
