Crime of Visual Shock [X Japan] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Crime of Visual Shock Review: Beauty needs no translation. - There are people who will listen to this album, and dismiss it without a second thought... wait, let me rephrase that: there are people who will listen to PARTS of this album, and dismiss it. However, any self-respecting man or woman who actually opens their mind to this opus will be changed. Permanently. Every single time I put on this album, and listen to Kurenai, or Rose of Pain, or X... god damn. I mean, I have no friggin' clue what they are saying, but these songs hit me right in the core. There's an unmistakable enthusiasm, charisma, pain, anguish, rage... all of it is contained in this album. And at the same time, the musicians' technical prowess is nearly unmatched in any contemporary band. If these guys had been even slightly understandable to an english-speaking audience, they would have taken over the music world. Actually, talking about this album makes me depressed, because I know that 90% of people won't ever make the effort to appreciate X Japan's brilliance. I pity those people, and it makes me sad. I'm gonna go cry into my pillow. BRB KTHXBAI! Review: Great overlooked metal release!! - Back in 1990 my father bought Blue Blood for me when on a business trip to Japan on cassette. All it took was one listen and I was hooked. Most of it is in Japanese with English here and there. I don't speak Japanese, but the songs are amazing! These guys are a great metal band. It saddened me to hear about the death of Hide the guitarist. I am thankful to finally have this timeless metal masterpiece on MP3 and CD. If you love metal like I do, you have to pick this one up! You will not be disappointed. I thought it was cool that they covered the song "World Anthem" by Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. They write beautiful ballads and some hard edged rockers. The vocals cut through the heavier songs like a heavy metal razor! I would love to see them live.

WE ARE X!
I love this album but then again i love them all. Xjapan is one of those bands that you dont hear too often in the states and that really sucks. i wish there was more than only 3 mp3 albums to choose from. If you are a big fan or just now hearing about them this album, in my opinion is the one to get.

great album
Other than the X Japan Singles album, this has to be my favorite. A great album full of their best work. I highly recommend getting this if you love visual kei, j-rock, or music in general.

We are X!
This is X's second album and their last as X before becoming known as X Japan. Blending stunning wild visuals and rock mixed with classical, they go from rock to ballads and modern classical styles. Personal favorites are X, Rose of Pain, Unfinished, Celebration, Weekend, Orgasm, and Blue Blood but the other songs are rocking too. Come and rock out with X! Buy this album if you love rock!

Awesome group!
I looked for this cd for quite a while. I first heard about this group in 1997 and just could never justify the $50 + price tag. I was able to get this much cheaper on Amazon. If you like music and metal, look no further.

The Beginning of Power Metal
Now when people think of the beginning of "Power Metal," most think of Germany's Helloween and Gamma Ray or the United States' Manowar. What most people do not know is that a whacky, yet amazing looking band from Japan will forever transform melodic heavy metal--X (later known as X Japan). The drumming, the soaring guitars, the cutting vocals, everything that makes melodic metal great. X Japan is not only credited as one of the first power metal acts, but also covered by many of today's Power Metal bands such as Germany's Lord and Finland's Sonata Arctica. The Blue Blood album contained the ground work for the future. The drumming, especially, was incredibly influential on the genre. The double bass playing that complemented the tremblo guitar picking that this album contains on tracks such as Kurenai and Rose of Pain became essential in Power Metal. Blue Blood through and through is an excellent album that tends to be overlooked by many outside of Japan. Not only do mainstream magazines/outlets ignore the band, but even heavy metal outlets tend to ignore this incredibly talented band. No one mentions the sheer genius behind Blue Blood. Tracks such as "X" and "Rose of Pain" are incredibly heavy yet awesomely melodic. Blue blood is as heavy as Ride the Lightning yet as melodic as Rainbow in the Dark. Yoshiki's piano playing is an also additional plus. For all power metal and melodic metal fans, this album is A MUST!!!!! If you like Helloween, Iron Maiden, Dio and Sonata Arctica, you will love Blue Blood!
