MOBOREST Digital Fiber Optic Toslink to 3.5mm Jack (Mini Toslink) Plug Adaptor Digital Optical for Audio (2Pack)

I got these to use on my Startech.com StarTech.com USB Sound Card w/ SPDIF Digital Audio & Stereo Mic – External Sound Card for Laptop or PC – SPDIF Output (ICUSBAUDIO2D). And they did the job. No complaints from me. What do they do? They plug into the optical plugs that looks like normal earphone jacks, but they are not. These plug into those and allow you to use standard optical cables on those type of devices. Some computers have both an Earphone jack that does optical sound and Earphones. Well, plug one of these in there and you will be able to use a standard optical cable on it.

These adapters are nice, they do get it done. However I don't believe that people actually know what these are used for. These adapters WILL NOT convert an optical cable for use as a 3.5mm analog jack. They convert standard toslink to 3.5mm toslink mini. Don't expect them to convert to analog please, it's not happening. These are to be used to convert toslink to mini toslink. Just because it looks like a 3.5 jack it doesn't mean it is one. That being said, these are pretty high quality adapters. They are made from plastic with a fair bit of gold plate lining the inside and outside as well. The gold plate shields and reflects light better leading to better clarity when compared to standard plastic alone. I paired one of these up with a Monster M1000 toslink cable to use on my rendering setup and it's rather amazing. They get it done and come in a 2 pack in case you need to do both ends. High quality, low price. It doesn't get any better than this.

As others have mentioned this converter plug grips like a vice once connected to a cable. I was able to disconnect it by carefully using two pairs of channel lock pliers, but there was no-way I was pulling it off by hand.

Macs are designed with standard 3.5mm ports. These adapters have elongated tips that cause the adapter to not click in and make the optical (and physical) connection. You'll get no signal output.

Easily attached to the end of a toslink cable for use with devices like an Apple Airport Express (my use), these are much less expensive than custom-ended optical cables (which I have also used and do have the benefit of one less physical connection to manage). Especially or connections of considerable length, these are an much less costly option when added to a simple Toslink cable.

Little mini TOSLINK adapter that simply works. It accepts a full sized optical connector and plugs into mini TOSLINK female connector, which looks like a typical 1/8” phono plug, which many people confuse as analog even though it is optical. Great value, minimal cost. Effective. Recommended!

Los use en un cable optico para conectar mi tv box a una bocina alexa studio ya qué los dos aparatos tienen entradas de este tipo, y cuando necesite conectar el cable a la tv le quito el adaptador y listo.

Había comprado el cable óptico para conectar mi barra de sonido, adquirí este conector para terminar el circuito, una calidad impresionante. Recomiendo altamente.

Los compré para usar en 2 echo Studios y funciona muy bien hasta el momento

Se uso para Conexión de tv (salida de Audio óptico, a amplificador ambiental con aux jack 3.5). No funciona, no sirven para ese propósito, prove con otros dispositivos y tampoco.
