Could it be used to slice cold meat e.g. ham ?

It works fine for me with ham, corned beef and hot meats. Cleaning the slot is a little fiddly , but worth the result.

the cutter that we use will cut a slice of bread about an inch and go down to about half of that as stated. Then you run into trouble
