The heating element is thermostatically controlled & pressure-activated. It adjusts to your pet’s body temperature. It heats when your pet is in the bed, providing warmth without overheating. Please see image above on "how to test your heated bed".

Q: Can I wash the cover of the heated bed?

Yes, our K&H beds feature either removable/washable cover or the entire bed can be washed depending on the model. Please reference item level description for details. Be sure the heating element is removed prior to washing.

Q: Can i use my human heating pad for my pet?

No. Human heating pads are not designed for pets. Cats and dogs have a higher body temperature, typically 100–102°F, so a heating pad made specifically for pets is recommended for safe, appropriate warmth.
