Easy to administer pups love it!

The pack normally really likes their products, but sadly, these are very hard chews, not soft chews, and even the younger big dogs had trouble chewing them.

I have a dog who is often picky about things like this and they love the taste and are always excited for these.

My dog normally loves these, but the chews in this last shipment are hard as a rock. I have to cut them in half with a knife! Expiration date is 2026, so I'm not sure what happened to these.

These little soft Omega chews apparently have a good taste, since my dogs have no issue with wanting to eat them. They are soft enough for my elderly dog to eat that as well is on a soft food diet. I initially started out with the max dose for my dog's weight, but it made them have upset tummies so please follow the instructions and gradually increase chews as you watch how they react to them. Once I went back and started on a small dose, being 1 chew per day and then increasing as they got use to the absorption, I have not had any issues. I do recommend giving it to them after they have eaten a meal as they seem to do better that way then on an empty stomach. I have not seen any improvement on my dog's dry skin as of yet, but it has only been a few weeks and I will update as that goes.

Got these to try out with my neighbor's dog, I verified with my neighbor that the ingredients were fine and their great dane always barks at me no matter how friendly I am, so thought these would help. Marshal showed exactly zero interest in these. In case you're thinking it was me, I gave the can to the owner and Marshal showed even more disdain smelling them a second time. So I tried with the dachshund across the street who's always super friendly. He snatched it right away and then spit it out. That's not a vote of confidence. Lastly, I googled the ingredients and decided since they smelled fishy to see if my cats liked them. Almost the exact same outcome, one cat smelled and walked away, the other tried a small piece and then spit it out. So that's 0 for 4 and cross species. I read the can too and it seems odd to me that an oil and fish based treat doesn't need to be refrigerated, but your mileage may vary. If I had kept them they were going in the refrigerator. Since they were overwhelmingly rejected, they went in the trash.

For most supplements, it is not easy to confirm the ingredients or the mentioned benefits objectively. Bur with supplements for dogs, we are usually content if our dog likes the tastes and receives the supplements. Well, my dog does, but I have not seen him reject many things either. In any case, the mentioned benefits seem nice. Benefits regarding coat usually have omega oil and fish (usually salmon) content and so does this product. However, it does have some differences from other similar products. First of all its color is quite dark. Almost all dog chews I have seen or a shade of brown while these are closer to black. The smell is also different. While it says "all natural salmon flavor", the smell does not remind of salmon or any fish. And the term "natural + pure ingredients" is a bit confusing as you can see the list of ingredients contain chemical names like glycerin, ascorbic acid, sorbic acid, calcium sulfate, etc. Of course, these chemicals can be derived naturally and they can be pure, but that is not usually comes to mind when "natural and pure ingredients" are mentioned. The container has 90 chews and depending on the size (weight) of your dog, they recommend 2 to 5 chews daily, so a box should last you 18 to 45 days. I like that they are in the form of chews because 1) I can exactly follow how many I fed to my dog, and 2) I can use them as bonus treats. If you have more than one dog, you can control which one gets how many. Overall, any chews and treats are welcome for my dog. The omega 3 content and claimed benefits also sound nice. As a result, we are happy with it.

THINK BEFORE YOU ORDER, BAD SMELL - MY DOG DID NOT LIKE IT AND EAT IT

Both of the pups snarf these down without hesitation. Obviously, to them, they smell and taste fantastic. As for the two humans in the house, we can sense a slight odour but nothing obnoxious, and it's very slight. There is definitely no fish smell even though the ingredients list shows fish oil and Salmon meal are included. The big upside to giving treats with fish oil is the lack of any mess and no smell. The downside is that liquid fish oil in bottles with pumps is less than half the cost. So, it's price vs. ease of use that needs to be considered when deciding on what to buy and provide. We have used various treats that contain fish oils and have had positive results. There has been far less itching, the fur has become shiny, and we've seen less dandruff. When looking at the ingredients list, there is nothing scary chemical-wise, all although there are preservatives, and so far, the pups have had no tummy issues. The treats are semi-hard but will squish together when pinched. Press hard enough, and they will break into smaller pieces, but when the pups chew on them, there are no bits falling off. Price-wise, they are slightly cheaper than the various other options we have used, and the "recommended" number of treats based on a pup's weight is also the same. The label does say that this product is manufactured for Deley Naturals in the US, but it does not state where it's made nor where the ingredients are sourced. This is the only thing that worries me; I'm not big on food items for humans or pups coming from overseas operations. In the past, we have found quality control, if it exists, can be very poor in some countries.
