Doesn't work. Goes off all the time
I was really optimistic about this product and tore the packaging open with the hope of my forgetting my keys problem was solved. Forget it. Keys in back pocket, phone in front - goes off. A lot. Keys in flat, set to long range and phone 5 metres away - goes off. A lot. Doesn't work. I tore the packaging so probably can't return it. Great idea, hugely embarrassing with mates.

Great Device
I recieved my Mi-Zone and have been using it for a few days now. At first it didn't do what I expected and lost connection all the time. After reading review and comments I realised that if you press turn off when your alarm goes off it loses the link. Now i just press locate and it works great. We go on Holiday soon and I will use it on my son so i know where he is and that hes not going to far way.Highly recommended.

Totally unreliable - No Support
Very nice idea, however, very bad implementation.Alarm was going off anytime it liked no matter whether it was 4 centimeters away one from the other (showing 6 meters away) or not. Very unstable, and battery kept draining fast.Tried to contact the vendor support but they did not care to even send an automatic response!Don't bother with this product at all...

Perfect for the Forgetful
I was kindly given this product to test and to give my honest opinion:Unfortunately I don't have the best of memories and I often misplace my keys or sometimes leave them on my desk at work so I was glad to try out the Mi-Zone in hope of an artificial way to cure my memory. The Mi-Zone comes with the device itself and a short micro USB cable for charging. I began by charging the device, the charge is very quick so the capacity of the battery must not be that big. However, I found that the Mi-Zone lasts for a couple of days when turned off at night, most people would have a problem with this but you've got to remember the device is small and Bluetooth can be quite draining on battery life.Next I began by downloading the free app from the Google Play store on my Nexus tablet to begin to use. The interface was simple, albeit so was the general design. It took me a little while to figure out how to pair the devices but with the manual I figured it out. Now that the devices were connected via Bluetooth I began to experiment. There are two 'modes' for the Mi-Zone, you can either use it as a proximity warning, this means that when the device goes out of a certain range (short, medium, long) then the alarm on the device and your tablet will go off to notify you. The other mode is a locate feature, so if you can't find your device (or the keys, etc attached to it) you can use your mobile to find it. I found both modes to work well, although they can be a bit temperamental but patience pays off.Overall a pretty well rounded product that warns you when you leave something behind, perfect for the forgetful. It even looks nice on your keyring.

avoid!
I saw some rather variable / polarized reviews on these but decided I'd be one of the lucky ones - I wasn't. The idea is great but there are 2 major flaws. Firstly, the number of false positives made it unusable. I'd be sitting in the office with my phone a few feet away, in clear line of sight of the fob, and the alarm would go off - often. Which probably led to the second problem: the battery life was dire. It needed recharging every night! Do they test these first ?!

Great purchase
I bought the Mi-Zone because im constantly worried about leaving my iPad somewhere when I am on the move. I tested it out as soon as I got home and quickly noticed the benefits. The tag is small so you can easily attach it to your keys without it being too bulky and in the way. It looks nice too and doesnt look out of place - there is even different colours to choose from. I had a quick look at the manual but it seems quite easy to use. I downloaded the app on my iPad and then connected the tag to my iPad using bluetooth. You can even name your tag which is great. I set the security settings to high so i could test it out in my house - you select the security setting depening on how far away you want your iPad to be before the alarm goes off.I was a bit sceptical whether it would work or not, but i left my iPad on the kitchen table, and as soon as was near the stairs the tag started flash. I then tried it the other way round and left the tag on the table whilst i walked off with my iPad, again the screen on my iPad starting flashing with a warning. There is even a feature to find our tag or device if you lose it. I tested this by leaving my iPad in the room and sitting downstairs. I held the button the tag for 10 seconds and then started walking to wear i knew my iPad was and sure enough as i got closer the mi-zone tag started flashing quicker.Ive been using the tag a few days and havent had to worry about charging it yet which is perfect.Overall this is a great product and worth the money to protect you from losing your device.
