The resealable bag is a nice touch, keeping the anise fresh for longer. When I opened the bag, I was greeted with a strong, aromatic scent that assured me of its quality. The pods themselves are mostly intact, and I appreciate that because it's easier to fish them out of a dish if needed. My main use for the star anise has been in making hotpot at home.
