I can't stand the sight of a dirty cigarette filled ashtray. I have friends who smoke, so when they come over for a cocktail, they want to have a cigarette. The ashes go everywhere and make a mess. I never owned an actual ashtray, so they would use an empty water bottle to extinguish their butts. In my experience, even an ashtray doesn't work because with any wind, you get ashes on you, the patio, your shoes, it gets drug in on your feet into the house, UGH! I love my friends and whatever vices they come with, so this really helped me have a more excepting view of little habits. My townhome has 4 patios. so I bought 2 of these (a large and a small) to try them out. The cigarette can be dropped and will go out on it's own when the lid is put on the top of the canister. There's also 3 slots to hold the cigarette if you need to rest it for a moment. One of my friends smokes a very thin cigarette that the canister won't hold on its own, but the regular size it will hold. The canister itself is nice. It matches my patio decor. If I have to have something, this works to cover, be clean, and be out of sight until it comes time to clean it. That is easy too. Just open and pout into trash bag. It holds up outside in the rain, no smell even if not emptied, and overall has been a great addition for the purpose. The one pictures is the large. The large is for your super smoky parties or a person who smokes 2 packs a day type size. The small is great for a few friends over every now and then with a nasty habit type size.

Exactly as described and photographed. The little ashtray has modern functions you won't find with an ashtray & snuffer! Really well thought out design all in a tidy metal package! It is wind proof & a great value for this low price! 6 Colors! This has a removable flat round piece of metal where the hot cigarette butt goes when you use the U shaped slots for the cigarette/filter to rest securely! I call the round piece a table & when you need to empty the ashes/butts all you do is turn the table to the left to unscrew it from the inside base! Empty the contents and screw the table back in, job done! OH, don't forget to put the lid on before you leave your outdoor ashtray unattended! Lowers smoke levels & easy to clean! I've been smoking outdoors since 2018 whether it is 3 digit hot or one digit cold outside! This ashtray is PERFECT 4 Me!

Everything I want in an ashtray. Metal and well made; durable and will last a long time. It has a snuff out in the middle of it which can be removed if you don't want it there. The lid is amazing to help prevent a "smoking ashtray" and can help prevent ashtray fires from starting. It has a nice weight to it and works great indoors or out.

Wow, this small size holds alot. Keeps any smoke leftover from escaping. Smart looking. I use indoors but would also be good for outdoor. Good quality.

We have a couple friends that smoke, so we keep this on the back deck for when they come over. Our deck furniture uses a brown/grey pattern, so this looks like it fits naturally in the space. The lid keeps it discreet, too. The color may not be ideal for everyone, but it works for us. Personally, I think the platform in the middle is unnecessary, but it unscrews pretty easily, so I just took it out. Anyone who actually smokes is going to hold the cig anyway or knows how to balance it in the slots, which are a touch snug for a standard roll and will hold it on their own. Good amount of space for ash and buts - great amount of space when I took out the platform.
