KFMK High Speed 6" Bench Grinder & 1"x30" Belt Sander Combo, Bench Belt Sander & Grinder for Metalworking, Belt Grinder for Knife Making, sharpening

Got this and immediately thought set it up and sharpened a few woodworking chisels. Right off the bat I noticed the stone had a slight wobble. It didn't seem to make a difference with the result. Chisels were nice and sharp. The honing wheel work as expected. I just wish they had added a magnet to the water reservoir to collect metal shavings. Other than that, good product.

I have had this sander for just a few days. Put it to use right away. This machine is identical to many other 2x42 belt sanders out there, parts should interchange. I went with this machine because it was on sale. The sanding disk side is okay. The rest table is not precision but will suffice for my needs. The belt side rest table will have to go at some point. The groves that are in it are not even in height, this makes the table very rough to use also. I am working on a fix for this. I did try a 36 grit ceramic belt and it fit without the scraping and drag that are a problem with some of the other similar machines. I run a Variable Speed, SCR Voltage Controller on all my tools. I have not had any problems as yet with running this machine on my controller. I can not turn the voltage down as far as I would like. But it slows it down enough for my needs. It will run okay at 75% which is good if I do not put a lot of pressure on it. With a very fine grit belt I can go to 60% which keeps from burning some of the wood I use. The description says it is a 1/2 horse motor, nope it is A 1/3 horse, like most others. This part is a bit disappointing to me as I wanted the larger HP. If it will last for a year I will be happy. As we say, I will update if this machine makes my hobby work easier or if it goes wonky. There are better machines out there, but they cost more. This one checked all my boxes for needs at this time. Disk sander, belt sander, fold down to flat, all in one machine, plus a 2 inch belt. Then the cost was reasonable for the features it has. Update: Been using since March. Have gone through many belts and sanding disk. The sanding disk I purchased are junk but that is another review. I have upgraded the flat platen with a glass one. I have upgraded the rest work table with this (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0929Q658X?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) had to make a bracket to fit it, but it is rock solid. I still have a problem with the description saying it is 1/2 horse power but it is way to late to complain now. I have used this machine way beyond its capability's. It has done everything I ask of it, but slow down to a crawl. Still only 4 stars, but it took some work to get it there.

Overall a great machine. It is quiet, soft start with no vibration and great safety features. Very easy to change belts. It appears to be easy to set belt tracking. All parts look to be heavy duty so I think it will last a long time. Very pleased.

This is a great alternative for sharpening knives quickly and accurately! I replaced the grinding wheel with two CBN wheels, one 600 grit and one 1000 grit. I can sharpen pretty much anything I need to sharpen and the cutting edge is razor sharp every time!

I tried posting a video of it working out of the box since this product has no reviews yet. I used it to sharpen my chisel and it did an amazing job. I’m new to this work and still learning so it was great to find a sharpener like this one at a great price and when I purchased it there was a coupon available. The packaging was great too. Even during delivery everything was intact. I’d highly recommend. So far no issues. But if I do run into any I’ll come back and update. If there’s no update then it’s been working great.

The honing stone came warped with a nasty angle to it so it only grinds on a small side of the chisel. The rest of the machine works well but a better quality stone would be a nessesary for a 5 star review.

This is about the variable speed 10in wet grinder. The instructions say to use blotters between the flanges and the stone when mounting the stone (using compressible blotters is a standard industry practice when mounting grindstones) but there are none and as a consequence, the stone loosened multiple times when new. There is a gauge for adjusting the angle but it is less sophisticated than the gauge shown in the instructions. I use it for sharpening chisels and it works but the grind is skewed so I have to rotate the chisel off to one side in the jig by a few degrees by trail and error to grind perpendicular to the sides of the chisel. This was true for all of my chisels. This is not unusual for less expensive grinders. The stone is an appropriate grit for sharpening chisels and the honing wheel and its abrasive works well enough.

It works fine but I can't say anything positive about an item that arrived with rust on parts of it.
